edit: I seriously only listened to why? because I heard you all talking about it ( a long time ago), didn't really do much digging after that...probably should have I guess.

Anticon is an experimental white-boy rap label based out of Oakland, CA. cLOUDDEAD is kind of the lynchpin act of Anticon. cLOUDDEAD consisted of Yoni Wolf from Why? and Doseone from 13 & God/Themselves/pretty much everything else.
Listen to cLOUDDEAD's Ten. It's one of the coolest records ever made.

Cool! Thanks HG. I liked most of what Why? had to offer , so I'm sure I 'll like cLOUDDEAD as well.

Listen to cLOUDDEAD's Ten. It's one of the coolest records ever made. YES! Also I think that 13 & God - 13 & God is one of the most comprehensive albums of the entire indie scene from 1999-2005. Fucking amazing. The talent and foresight to put two songs like "Low Heaven" and "Men of Station" next to each other is jaw dropping every time I put this album on.

Friendly D turned me on to the Boom Bip/Doseone record Circle, and that is also some insane fucking shit. Put it on when you're feeling a little unhinged, it's just perfect.

Wow, it is kind of hard to critique with one listen. The tracks kind of drift into some kind of madness, and I'm like what the fuck, then they draw me back in. Everything comes together in a great musical compostition. Ship's a'Going Down was a definite WTF, but it ended quite beautifully. Sounds like I need this in my life sooner than later. When can I get me a proper tour de Residents from the Gramma himself? I've got the time to commit the crime. Dude, literally any time. At all. I end up proposing that 'guided Residents listening party' pretty much every fucking time I get high with friends, but traditionally I just drop it because I end up thinking nobody would ever enjoy it one tenth as much as I would. You're the exception, though -- I think your brain would break over some Residents. How does Animal Collective week sound?

How does Animal Collective week sound? Perfect. Residents and Monopol-e? That entire week's gonna get crazy.

You need some cLOUDDEAD, rusty. This is very true. My personal favorite anticon. record is Odd Nosdam's Burner. I get lost in that thing for entire nights, such as tonight after reading this thread.

Not so sure about Twin Shadow right now, but enjoying Gossamer for sure, and I feel like Confess is going to grow on me.
