My guess is JiveNation because every person I have ever seen working there has had a blue or yellow shirt. They may in fact be volunteering, I don't know, but that is who runs the site. Yeah, and I'm sure the safest bet would be cutting your teeth with STG beforehand for a quarter/semester. I just really respect quality promoters/bookers/show-runners.

Just curious, in terms of interning would your best guess be to go through LiveNation, Zacks or STG Presents? I only ask because there is nothing on the Sasquatch! Festival site I could find relating to it.

Watched the KEXP performances of Rose Windows, Deep Sea Diver, and Elliott BROOD and came away pleasantly surprised with all three acts...I was completely unaware that Deep Sea Diver is the solo project of the lady guitarist from the shins... I am unabashedly excited for Rose Windows. I hope that there isn't a conflict because I might just have to bite the bullet and see them. Here's their version of "Summertime"... vimeo.com/46333346

It pulled in good audiences and was a fun/unique stage to see acts See, it is funny that you say that as I never saw any kind of crowd out there and mostly people were pissed about it. Constant jokes about Katie Kate were made. Also a good chunk of Todd Barry's set was commenting about how awful it was.

Just turned on The End for second and that song of his has officially made it to the radio waves. God damnit. I fucking hate that guy and his stupid hipster neon face paint. He is 2013's Owl City. I pray he's not as successful. Owl City is drek but at least it isn't throwing goddamn skittles on a drumset or cranking a fucking can opener. FUCK THIS GUY

Could they be Banana Shack, though? I mean yeah they are a medley of different styles, but so much of their beat comes from Flatlander's synths and the beat productions there. I know the Bigfoot would be better to some level because it's more open, but moshing in the Banana Shack might be INSANE.

However: your gif has given me a quasi-bone, so I will let it slide just this once. Now I'm seeing the gif as a reaction to this statement. It's great for dual purposes, and yes it was ignorant of me to assume my very minute colloquialism would do well on something like an internet message board. I also apologize for bastardizing the English language over something as important as said internet message board to try and convey a futile "it could be worse..." attitude. I'll remember this and try to not let it happen again.

Am I just too old to know what this means? I'm 22 and I have no fucking clue. It's for those kids at universities that go off on how much they love indie music, with an emphasis on indie, and it usually consists of shit like Mumford and Sons.

Am I just too old to know what this means? eh it's just a stupid phrase (bringing together mainstream indie) my friend came up with to describe bands like Foster the People, Imagine Dragons and fun. (post Aim and Ignite) that are labeled as "indie _____" when clearly they are getting pushed by a major label.

Nah, we cool. I just hate that dude. He opened for somebody once and was completely terrible, played for too long, and tried too hard to get the crowd into it when they clearly weren't. The rest of your list is pretty badass. Thanks my dude, and if I were to see some jackass try to feel out the crowd and continuously fail I'd hate that fucker for a long ass time. see: Cold War Kids before all the mindie kids fell in love with them

I'd argue for anyone that is on the fence for Death Grips to consider the amazing abilities of Zach Hill. He is legitimately one of the best drummers out there and I think he's still touring with just his bass and tom. They're tuned super low and just brings an extra primal feel to it all. I saw them in Seattle a few months back and it was one of the best shows of my life.

I love Todd Barry. Did you see Red Wine Boys? The Tim and Eric conflict was Animal Collective. That is one of a handful of bands that would prevent me from seeing at least part of Tim and Eric. Haha yep! And now the regret is actually seeping back in. But I've seen Anco a couple times before and after that year, so i don't feel as bad. I'm hoping I'll get to see Brett Gelman and maybe Nick Offerman too. I've heard Birbiglia doesn't have much new material though. And I'm surprised Mande has done as well as he has, considering he doesn't really have his delivery down very well. Very funny dude though. He writes some great material.
