Well said. I'm 39 and don't feel a day over 32. I have all the responsibility of a 39 year old but have still retained my individuality & youthfulness and always remember to do what makes me happy. I use to tour with the Grateful Dead, I saw SCI at the first Sasquatch (but truth be told, no one there realized we were participating in the birth of something so magical, we were all just there for SCI). And now I am still finding the time to continue doing these things because they have aways made me happy, just not as many "party favors" involved now . We don't have to be the thirty something adults our parents were (assuming your parents were as "traditional" as mine). I don't feel old, I feel improved. Fuck off Darth Nader FINALLY! It's been nearly 24 hours since I've had a troll.

yeah, I was robbed years ago in general which soured me on that experience, been in premiere ever since. And by robbed I don't mean I was stupid and left expensive electronics in my tent, they literally stole my sleeping gear. Premiere was just a fresh start again.

Weenie- Have you ever stayed in Premiere camping? I am just wondering what the differences or similarities are between it and Wild Horse? I love the free ride back to the camp site in premiere...

We don't have to be the thirty something adults our parents were (assuming your parents were as "traditional" as mine). I don't feel old, I feel improved. My parents are kind of a train wreck, so I can't relate. You and me both. The quotations were really just there to include anything that you or I or anyone does not want to be. Didn't mean to sound preachy.

There is definitely a shift in what has long been considered normal stages in life. I'm 26 and I absolutely still feel like a little kid. It's fucking awesome. I'm really sick of people saying that they're turning thirty and feel old! Wait, are you my friend Jill? Dammit Jill we're not old! I have to agree with this. I am going on 32 and feel like my life is still just beginning. I hope to have another 60 years or so ahead of me. Agreed. I'm older than both of you and I feel like I still haven't peaked. With age comes experience and wisdom, and with that comes the knowledge of how to make EVERYTHING in life better.

Dudes, let's get matching jackets and become a threatening gang. Capitalize on this whole "scary" business. Ha! Love it.

...also, sorry to hear about your bad news as well Nadine and Stormy. I don't know either of you but I do know that the 2 things I worry about most are the two things you both have mentioned, kids and money. Thanks! To clarify, I don't have children of my own but I am responsible for taking care of 12 high-needs foster kids who live at a treatment center for extreme abuse. That's why I have to testify in court on Monday, I realize without context my original post might lead to some weird assumptions. You're probably no stranger to that, working in social services and all. I'm considering roadtripping to Salt Lake City for the Saturday Animal Collective/Dan Deacon show instead but I'm still a very sad panda about missing Treefort. Wow, best of luck. When I was fresh out of University (the first time) I thought I wanted to be a probation officer (boooooy was I wrong). I was working in phase 1 probation services and was overwhelmed with how many youths I had to represent in court. It takes its toll on everyone, and like you mentioned earlier, RUINS major plans sometimes. Hope you can make it all work!
