That shit gets ripped off immediately after Sasquatch. Seriously... otherwise you end up with "sleeves" in less than a year.

The wristband is the ticket. I don't think there will be any paper stubs this year. My guess: Number of paper stubs sold for 2013: 500+ Number of ligit paper stubs sold for 2013: 0

Someone has tickets on sale for 10000.00 with a quantity of ~100. You think it's serious? Yes. You should buy them. I bet they are made of gold.

Scalpers have probably less than 2% of the tickets. Get rid of all of them and you might add another 2 hours before the sellout. They are a problem, but a minor one.

The times they are a-changin' Bumbershoot will sell out fast too.
It is not scalpers. The internet did not kill music. It just let more people know how awsome things could be.

With the way they are mailing wristbands, my guess is there will not be a lot of scalping. Yes, some of the scalping sites have tickets, but with just 300 on "S**b-H*b" this is about 1%. Granted 1% is too many, but it is nominal in the larger scheme of things.
Hopefully they will release another batch of 500 or 1000 in a few weeks. 500 tickets every few weeks will keep the scalpers at bay.

I don't believe in a derogatory aspect to "selling out" or commercialization, especially when it is the money that follows the music and not the other way around. Moby proved how well this could be done with Play. If an artist I like makes millions, I am happy for them. If they can afford a private jet as opposed to sleeping in the tour van, good for them. Granted, success does not make the music good, but neither does it make it bad. Good music is good music no matter the success behind it.

How many tickets will they sell this year? 23,000? 24?
I see numbers like 23,500 capacity, but I also understand they are working to edge that up every way they can.

Chvrches (sounds like "churches") are a new (2011) Scottish alternative electronic three piece band from Glasgow. Lead vocals are by Lauren Mayberry. Mayberry is also a skilled drummer, which for me always scores points. Though she is not generally on drums for Chvrches, I am expecting her to have a standup kit at the ready at Sasquatch. This could be a sleeper or one of those shows like when XX hit the scene. Think Kate Bush meets Gary Numan. "Lies" (2012) "The Mother We Share" (2012) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z11GWaf6X8c

Nicely done. I see it addressed as to the index, but the welcome / PM notation is also still black.
But thank you for the work so far. I think I will stick with 2013 for a while.

So I've never heard of Primus before, and everyone is so excited that I want to be excited about them too! but without context their music is very weird sounding, I think I might like it better if I knew why everyone else is so excited for them? No. I don't think you would.

I am sure it is somewhere here. (Seems I recall seeing it last year.) But drinking, though fun, can be a killer at these things. Limited sleep. Hot sun. Exposure. Dancing. Sometimes nominal food. - All this taxes the body. Add on to this a few shots of vodka at the wrong time and you are toast. There are always those people passed out cold at 3pm on the hill getting fried in the sun and missing great shows. Have your fun, but you don't really want to pay $330 for a ticket to be passed out while the Presets play. And just because you can drink a pint of whiskey on Friday night at home, don't think you can do the same Saturday afternoon at the Gorge. People end up missing whole days due to underestimating the impact of substances (alcohol and others). It is a long four days. Enjoy them all.
(But seriously, a good shot or two of Islay Scotch added to Kokanee really hits the spot!)

Maybe you should form a Burning Man style "camp" with a few big monkey huts and stuff.

Going solo is great. You get to see the bands you want when you want. And don't worry, you will meet lots of people.

I am kind of surprised nothing is announced yet for The Les Schwab in Bend. Last few years they had had essentially a "mini-squatch." Last year it was The Shins, The Head & The Heart, Tenacious D, Beck and Metric. Maybe they extended the zone.
