Thanks dude. The vacation process is this massive deal that takes weeks to hammer out due to the amount of employees , and the different levels of senority. Basically I got super lucky to get any time off in summer months, because older employees that have kids always take the entire summer off, leaving only shitty months for new employees. I could cancel them , but because the picking has already happened , we have a blackout calendar which basically eliminates me picking any days in a row, and only in the undesirable months.
I'm sure I'll figure something to do that weekend--likely come down to the states for something else. Super dissapointed, especially since I missed sasquatch last year. Sad face, is sad.

So for my birthday my parents gave me the use of there brand new CRV to take to Coachella. This will save me like $600 from car rentals. Which means MORE FUN AT DISNEYLAND....YAYAYAYYAA Do your parents know what coachella is? Do they realize that no matter how responsible you may be as their offspring, there are going to be thousands of drug-addled teeny boppers doing stupid things? I would give you $600 for your bday before I would let you take my new car. Their deductible is probably close to $600, and a broken headlight is $200 or $300. Oh well, old man rant over. Have fun at Disneyland. Haha, dude. This was not at all my idea. I explained to them for over an hour how much risk is involved. Not only with the festival, but with the like 4000km round trip involved. Having said that, I've never had an issue with damage to my car at any festival I've ever been so, except one time someone at sasquatch drew a sasquatch with pink pen on my hood...and I kept that shit there till it peeled off. Regardless, my parents love me. Stop raining on my parade dude .

Ummm how did I not find out until just now that Bradford Cox was in Dallas Buyers Club? When I saw it I was like "Is that Bradford Cox?". But I never did confirm, until now I guess. That's pretty cool.

If your only concern is money, it is probably cheaper for 2 people to fly to LA and rent from there. Last year our rental from LAX came to just over $200 to and from Coachella. Flights were $250 return for me from Bellingham for myself. It is also way faster than driving all the way, obviously. Wait, Davers...your telling me it's faster to fly? Mind, blown. Jokes aside (appreciate the response btw), we have 3 weeks off, we are planning to spend the first two driving down, stopping in Seattle, Portland, San Fransico, DisneyLand for 2 days and then palm springs to relax at a friends, and then to the festival and back home. We will need a car for that amount of time --I have no car which makes this difficult. Budget, Avis and some others say unlimited kilometers/miles for that amount of time for under $500, I was just wondering if they are truly unlimited ( as Enterprise specifically says not including Cali). I know, I could like, call them. But I hate phoning anyone. So I was wondering if anyone knew. I had no idea flights were so cheap though. So if all else fails that is good to know. Thanks.

No, you up-play it, because I'm guessing you are one. You do good work, I'm sure Wonk, but everything you do here = talking out of your ass.

No I clearly said I have no Idea what an office worker does or what the scope of "office worker" encompasses in your opinion ...I think I said that twice.

Interesting angle...I guess I picture every office worker as a member of Dunder-Mifflin.
Speaking of a 911 "office worker". In Canada when you phone, the receptionist is from the U.S...has no idea where the fuck you are or any street names or areas of your town. They will make you wish you never called. I wish they were high.

Oh cool. Then we agree (weird )... guess it just depends on our differing opinions on what 'shit' is, to me human life > money or whatever an office worker could fuck up .
In Canada they only really drug test for positions that are dangerous...that could end up in death or injury if impaired.
I totally agree a high person in basically any field can fuck shit up.

Does anyone have experience with car rentals...I just found out I can't take the car I was going to and will need to rent.
Most of the big names I've checked say unlimited kilometers/miles...but I know Enterprise says "unlimited in BC, Washington and Oregon" but not California where I will spend the bulk of my journey. I was just wondering if any of ya'll know if the other companies that say unlimited actually mean unlimited wherever the kilometers/miles occur?

Do they seriously drug test people at a temp agency, or on any regular capacity down there? That seems so messed up. I've heard of it, but usually only for super important positions, like large truck or crane operators. Like as an office worker, is the fact you smoke weed really going to impact your daily activities.? This is fucking stupid. Someone working an "office job" can fuck shit up 100 times more than someone operating a crane. Do you think office workers just watch YouTube all day? I honestly have no clue what an office worker does, I'm sure you'll enlighten me. I do know that you could be right, like umm some financial shit could be fucked up...most jobs I'm familiar with needing drug tests are one that can like kill people if fucked up. Are you saying that a high office worker could kill people--like not their wallet or their stock or whatever office people work on, but like an actual human life...yeah I don't think so.

Planning on spending 2 days in Portland on my way down to Coachella. Just wondering if ya'll can recommend a cheap place to stay downtown...or where ever there is cool shit to do. Also what would you recommend to do there? I have heard brewery tours are a must...some big bookstore?....a forest park?.....a big tram thing? ......thoughts? Anyone who suggested that you ride the tram as a tourist attraction bought the wrong guidebook. There's a cool vintage arcade downtown, there are a million excellent record stores and a trillion nifty bars and a gajillion beautiful parks. Do yourself a favor and don't stay downtown, though. If you find someplace that is both cheap AND downtown, you'll be one sad dude. Glad I asked. So where if not downtown? The internet was the one that said the Tram was cool. Thanks for the tips.

Classic cat.
One time my best friend lost his cat, but for a whole winter...they just assumed the fucker died.
So it's like spring and the grass is growing and they open the little shed in the back and he pulls out the lawnmeower and hears a funny noise. Then , this totally emaciated kitty who happened to be named Treestar walks on out like it ain't no thing. Fucker wouldn't eat the food they offered even though it was like concentration camp skinny.
Fucking cats .

Yeah, see I remember the piano songs...but for some reason I didn't think they were a score, just part of the storey. Cool.
