The 2 best live bands I saw all of last year, and 2 of the best albums of 2008.

The 3 I'm most excited for right now are Explosions, Bon Iver and M83 just because they are both such big shocks. I haven't really listened to Gogol Bordello or Monotonix much, but everyone has been saying they are both insane live. Same deal with Girl Talk, though I've listened to Feed The Animals quite a lot. Looking forward to seeing Fleet Foxes again, though I just saw them a few months ago. Same with The Walkmen. Both amazing live. Also Animal Collective, Doves, Peter Bjorn and John, The Dodos, Grizzly Bear, Bishop Allen, Beach House...the list goes on and on.
Really hope the conflicts won't be too horrific this year.

Can't believe there is no Band of Horses, Gomez, AC Newman, MGMT, Portugal. The Man. Still time for additions...though not much room on my schedule.

Can't believe Explosions In The Sky, M83, and Bon Iver aren't on the mainstage. My utopian Sasquatch has always included seeing EITS at sunset overlooking the gorge. Oh well, I'm still just soooo happy they will be there (and aren't at any other fests right now!)

One thing I'm am confused about...
The new website says May 22-25 And under schedule it has Fleet Foxes and Tim & Eric Show listed for Friday. Perhaps some entertainment for the early arrivals? Or perhaps there will be additions to Friday? I still don't buy the Tool rumour.

i may be in the minority here, but i think this lineup is great! Kings of Leon, YYYs, Fleet Foxes, TV on the Radio, Animal Collective, Bon Iver!, Of Montreal, EITS!, Doves, Grizzly Bear, M83, Girl Talk, The Walkmen, Shearwater, Monotonix, King Khan, Passion Pit, Ra Ra Riot, The Dodos!, Beach House!, School of Seven Bells...not to mention the comedy lineup is fantastic.
This is any indie music lovers' dream fest (yeah the headliners aren't the best, but the undercard is superb! just as i was expecting) Thank you Sasquatch! for continuing to provide us with one of the greatest music festivals in the world.

Totally agree. To be honest there aren't a ton of bands I'd love to see that would be considered headliner material. I'm really counting on a solid undercard. I know most will disagree, but with all the rumored headliners, I really won't mind if KOL is one of them. I'm not a big fan of their last 2 albums, but Youth and Young Manhood and Aha Shake Heartbreak are both fantastic. If they play a 1.5 or 2 hour set it'll mean a better chance of hearing more of their old material.
And yes I'm sure there will be a few bands that no one has talked about at all. Most years everyone's guesses/rumors usually turn out to be only about 1/3 of the actual lineup.

Sasquatch Lineup! Listen to the Adam Carolla Show on Tuesday, to get the first word on who is playing Sasquatch this year. We can't say anything yet, but there is an Endfest '08 Unplugged band, Endie Winner, and Legendary band which will consist of all original members! (+ more) The Adam Carolla Show runs from 5am-10am (pst) You can stream 107.7 The End here: www.1077theend.com/If I remember correctly, last year they announced 8-10 bands at around 7am or 8am. Then the rest of the lineup was released on the Sasquatch website a few hours later.

the only way Jane's Addiction will be cool is if Dave Navarro comes to party in the campsite.

I'm guessing the Unplugged band is The Airbourne Toxic Event. The Endie winner is one of either Fleet Foxes, MGMT, Santigold, or Kings of Leon. The the legendary band with all original members is Jane's Addiction (sigh)

Someone on the End just fucked up big time. Nine Inch Nails Jane's Addiction Kings of Leon Airborne Toxic Event Gaslight Anthem TV on the Radio Santogold That's all I could remember, I'm calling in now to see if I can get more. Can anyone explain what exactly happened with this supposed leak on The End? Was it one of the DJs who just started listing off bands he/she said will be at Sasquatch this year?

I have heard nothing about The Smashing Pumpkins lately, I wonder how far fetched it would be to see them as a possible headliner for this year. Seeing as Radihead, PearlJam and a lot of other headline possibilities seem to be out of the question Hmm...this is interesting actually. If the supposed "insiders" speak the truth and there is a "reunion band that not many will care about" I'd say Smashing Pumpkins are a pretty good guess. Most people would have been really excited to see them until we all heard how much they suck live now. Have Smashing Pumpkins played Washington yet since they've been touring again?
