Well, and I might be misinformed, but my understanding is that unless a show is 21 and over only, it can't go past 11 in Seattle (I've seen Pearl Jam at the Key and they were bringing up the lights on them as they finished, you could tell they wanted to play more). So there's a bit of lead time... The launch party is 21+

this is a BIG long shot, but RATM was confirmed for several european shows today........ all of the shows take place in early june so the timing would be perfect and before you say they're not a sasquatch band....think NIN? I was thinking about this earlier today as well. Tom Morello was there last year with SSSC. Also I always hear about how RATM didn't hit the NW at all when they started touring again a couple years ago.

I'm pretty excited considering the comments from COS and the fact that there are so few solid rumours out there. We should be in for a few surprises.

i'm getting tired of all the people here predicting jack johnson, and i'm going to blame you bastards if he ends up there. what a waste of a headlining spot that would be. Don't get me wrong I absolutely do not want JJ to headline a night, but right now the rumours are few and far between and he seems like a reasonable candidate. New album coming out, has a history of headlining big fests, played Sasquatch a few years back. As for Smashing Pumpkins...they could hardly even be considered a headliner anymore without the original band members. More like Billy Corgan & Friends...

I see Pavement, Jack Johnson, and perhaps Soundgarden as the most likely headliners this year. I think the organizers have realized that they can still put on a successful festival without massive headliners, and rather a more diverse and deep undercard. I really can't see the Flaming Lips playing again (especially playing DSOTM, thats definitely more suited to Bonnaroo). Other long shots: a band that might not be considered a headliner like Arcade Fire, Them Crooked Vultures, or MMJ (people said the same thing about KOL last year). I highly doubt he would play Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Sasquatch, but I'm surprised no one has suggested Jay-Z as a possibility. I am sure that one of the 2 remaining headliners will be someone that nobody is talking about.

After listening to Yeasayer's new lp Odd Blood, I hope against all hope that they are there. Holy shit it is AMAZING!!!! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I know this is supposed to be a happy thread. But Yeasayer is playing Seattle on April 20th. I'd say that makes them pretty unlikely. But you never know. Obviously you can still go see them at one of their club shows, as you should. Yeasayer is an amazing band

I can definitely confirm that The Walkmen are great live. My only concern is that their sound is a little more suited to a small club than an outdoor amphitheater.
I'm also really excited to see The Dodos. Their songs are great and they seem like they would translate to a great live show.
This is one of the worst kept secrets around, but Fleet Foxes kill live. I missed them last year at Sasq but saw them in September. So amazing.
p.s. How awesome was Jamie Lidell?

I would say very very unlikely. Two other bands that will be in the area around Sasquatch are The Dears and Fisherspooner, but they both have Seattle shows and seem unlikely.

$12.75 convenience charge for the 3-day pass. $11.05 charge for camping pass $3.40 order processing charge
Plus the US$/CAD$ exchange rate is really shitty right now. I liked it better last year when the Canadian dollar was worth more than the American dollar...

I reviewed a Blitzen Trapper show back in August and they were playing material off of Furr for the very first time. I think their music is great, but if I'm being honest, the show was a little rough to say the least. Hopefully they've got the new material down a little better by now. Barring conflicts I'd love to see them again, but I doubt that's gonna happen.

From Sasquatchfestival.com:
Beverages Beverages are available for purchase at Amphitheater concessions and stores. Beer and wine may be purchased and consumed on-site at licensed locations only by adults displaying valid age-ID during authorized hours of operation. No alcohol beverages may be brought onto Amphitheater grounds.
This better not mean we can only drink in beer gardens this year!

That's shocking that a Wolf Parade show would be boring. Most of their songs have so much energy. I've only managed to see Frog Eyes, Johnny & the Moon, and Handsome Furs. Still need to get my Spencer Krug fix.

Chromeo, Deadmau5, King Khan & the Shrines. Not your typical Canadian artists, but there are still a few. I was really hoping for one or more of the Wolf Parade side projects..Sunset Rubdown, Handsome Furs (new album), Swan Lake (new album), Blackout Beach (new album), Frog Eyes, Johnny & the Moon, or even maybe Wolf Parade! God they have a lot of side projects!

There is still the mystery of why Death Cab and The Shins were listed on that TV thing on the development site. My hunch is that it was a link to pictures or videos from past performances, but you never know. Can't see Death Cab playing again, they covered the NW last year like poo on a blanket.
