Japandroids are going to be there. They referenced Sasquatch at their last Seattle show and are playing the 28th for Primavera and skip Seattle on their current tour. Done deal.
My guess as of now for rumors from other fests that we'll poach: LCD/ The Dead Weather/ MGMT/ Phoenix/ Vampire Weekend/ The National/ Passion Pit/ Dirty Projectors/ Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros/ Local Natives/ Dr. Dog/ Japandroids/ Wale/ Girls/ Miike Snow/ Flying Lotus/ The Temper Trap
That would be sooooooooooooooo kick ass if we get all those bands. I'm thinking Sasquatch learned their lesson last year by having a very strong undercard and lack luster headliners.
Here's also hoping Joanna Newsom makes the trek because her new songs are amazing.

Their set was still like an hour long. And let's not forget what happened in 06: Crazy hail storm set the main stage behind schedule. All the acts due to play where fully prepared to accommodate the crazy weather and put on a great show at a slightly later time, and to also shorten their sets if need be... EXCEPT FOR BEN HARPER. Ben Harper insisted that he go on at the originally scheduled time and play his full set. Which meant the Flaming Lips had to go on after him. Which meant I had to sit through two hours of that asshole and his stupid songs. Yes... yes, I am still bitter about this. I'm there with ya! I remember when he broke into his second hour set, the people around me went ape shit and booed for a whole hour. It was amazing!

This year is really underwhelming, however, there are some sweet bands that I would like to snag from their lineup: LCD Soundsystem/ The Dead Weather/ Dr. Dog/ The National/ The Black Keys/ Tenacious D (Sasquatch Song Finally!!)

looking nice and clean. I'm not going to lie--soundgarden would be logical. I don't personally want it, but that's not the issue here. Looking at the artists of headliner-caliber that are playing elsewhere, I feel like Gorillaz would fit Sasquatch. Additionally, Sasquatch and Coach shared a headliner in 2009, 2007 and generally share several artists. If they were to share one this year, I see only Gorillaz as being possible. I would love to see the Gorillaz, but they are hugely expensive because they play a whole album through and have most of their collaborators participate in the live experience. It would be killer, but Coachella has the money and notoriety.

Soundgarden won't be there. I'm sorry to rain on your parade, but they won't be.

I'm going to make a bold prediction, but I believe that Dr. Dog will be there. I know they are playing Primavera, but it is toward the end of their stint in Europe, they skip Seattle and Vancouver on their current tour and they kick ass.

Sasquatch better NEVER fucking announce the line up this way. It is painful. Bonnaroo made a mistake by saying this year was going to be the biggest and best ever and from what I've heard the line up is, it doesn't even come close to Coachella. But I'm biased in that I hate most jam bands.

I know this is kind of silly because most of yall are from all around, but Pullman, yes Pullman, WA is having a folk festival March 26 and 27 with the line up consisting of Justin Townes Earle, Damien Jurado, Joe Pug, Rocky Votolato, Horse Feathers, Frontier Ruckus, Laura Gibson, with more to be added to range between 20-30 bands. They are currently trying to get Low Anthem and AA Bondy. Should be pretty sweet for our neck of the woods.

That was a stacked year. Even Kanye was there. It was very diverse for being just a day. So funnygrrl what do you think of Funeral now. It is probably my favorite album from the last decade. However, against the masses, I almost like Neon Bible more.
On a totally different note, what albums from 2010 have you enjoyed so far. I like Beach House, The Besnard Lakes, Yeasayer and Spoon's albums so far.
I am soooooooooooooo looking forward to Arcade Fire, LCD, Gorillaz, The Dead Weather, and the great ones that I don't even have an idea about now!

How amazing would it be to have Gorillaz play the Gorge. I was on the fence about trying to make it to another festival this year, and when Coachella announced that, I decided I would go this year. I just love the idea behind the band and the amount of art is goes into their show and albums. People just write them off as a cartoon band, but it is pretty substantial what Albarn and co. have been able to do. With this being their last album, I really want to be able to see them before the magic is gone, you know!
I have to say I have loved the overall evolution of Sasquatch over the years. I had been to a couple concerts before I made it to Sasquatch in 05. Being from Moscow, ID, it is like a live music desert considering the closest venues are Portland and Seattle, with few gems coming to Spokane. I will never ever forget the feelings I had during Arcade Fire that year. I liked Funeral at the time, but was not a rabid fan like others. When they took the stage and started pounding out "Wake Up", the chills and overwhelming emotion was earth shattering. That sounds so stupid and sappy, but that is the moment I fell hard for music. One of those you had me at hello comments. My parents are consistently giving me shit about my love for music, to the point of making trips just for concerts. It is so hard to put that love into words, but I was wondering about other people's experiences at concerts, Sasquatch if you like; and what makes you love music.

The best headlining set for this year I think would be:
Neil Young / Arcade Fire / Pavement

Well we know they won't get either KoL (No back-to-back headlining) or DMB (have their own weekend each year), so that's good.
However, I have this really queasy feeling that Jack Johnson will make his return or Faith No More will headline.
