After seeing this I started having hope for an Atmosphere add in that gap. Then I remembered I don't know anything about Canada, and when I started looking at mapquest they are obviously going in the wrong direction to turn around and show up at Maysquatch.

I'm surprised to see Kongos placed above Phantogram and Liars on the lineup. Considering both those bands are better known, and have album hype right not. $$$Payola. I think Chats nailed it. That's crazy. I haven't thought about it that way, but I always wonder how some of these bands climb up the line at festivals. Sounds like good marketing, but it's pretty sad to see those generic bands playing above real talent, and people who have actually earned their spot.

Saw them for about 5 minutes at a festival when I was tripping really hard. Couldn't handle it.

I know it is a little out of the date range, but I think it is very possible Bumbershoot could have collected some of the failed Julysquatch artists. Maybe Soundgarden. If I ever go to Bumbershoot again I'm getting V.I.P so I don't have to stand in lines when the venues fill up. The tickets are usually cheap enough that it is worth the extra expense. I remember a couple of the shows I saw on the outdoor stages had the worst crowd of angry little hipsters kids I've ever seen. I have to wonder if it isn't always like that.

Bumbershoot is opening up the Memorial Stadium for the main stage this year. They must have something big lined up.

Not particularly surprising, Epic Records probably paid Sasquatch to get the band booked. They even got their video embedded on the Sasquatch home page. That shit doesn't happen for free. I'm surprised to see Kongos placed above Phantogram and Liars on the lineup. Considering both those bands are better known, and have album hype right not.

The rules state that you're not supposed to park in the gorge parking lot over night, so the safest bet would probably be to park elsewhere if possible. I have thought about this before, but don't know of a place close by that would be safe to leave a vehicle for days. I don't know how strictly they enforce the overnight parking. Quite strictly at times. I've spent many a morning a the Gorge watching vehicles get towed away for being left overnight. I wouldn't take the risk. Sometimes there is probably drunk people sleeping in them while they are getting towed.

I was actually going to ask a similar question so this is pretty handy. We have a friend who is taking his own vehicle and buying a parking pass, but wants to camp with us in premier. Would it be better to get him to park his vehicle, then squish into ours to get the premier wristband or to try and swindle an extra wristband from a yellow shirt? The rules state that you're not supposed to park in the gorge parking lot over night, so the safest bet would probably be to park elsewhere if possible. As far as I know they have to come out of the premier compound and visit you. It is super exclusive and there are sentries at the gate at all hours.

I haven't done it, but I'm pretty sure it is per car. If they didn't restrict it somebody could buy a ticket and each of 6 people could drive their own car, which would take up way too much space for them to make the profit they aim for.

I believe you get a hard ticket, and that is good for a vehicle. The rules specify a number of people that can get in for each vehicle, but I heard they don't always enforce that rule. Then everybody in the car gets a wristband.

I've been waiting for that WTF lineup to drop, and now with Julysquatch out of the picture the chances of me going are better. I want to make it to Portland to visit some family this summer anyway. I'm also reconsidering Paradiso, which would put me close to Seattle for Kraftwerk. Even though Paradiso day 2 headliners are a joke, I feel confident there will be something decent on the other stages like last year. A 2 hour set from Bassnectar on the Main Stage at the Gorge will probably be pretty fucking epic. Yeah, with the cancellation we are looking at Paradiso too. I want to see the Gorge this year without having to see Dave God Damn Matthews. You went last year? Good times? Paradiso was a blast last year. The sound and stage production are always on point. They really seemed to cheese out on the headliners this year, but if it is like last year they'll manage to mix in a little something for everybody. Given you like electronic music of coarse. The overall vibe seemed pretty cool too.

I'm pretty sure Paradiso ticket sales already exceeded that of Julysquatch in less than an hour. What the fuck is wrong with people these days?

R.I.P Dave Brockie. I never did make it to a Gwar show. I did, and it was one of the craziest, most fun shows I've ever been to. Kept telling myself I was going to go again, but never made it. Guess I never will. Fuck. Yeah, it's pretty fucked they were in Spokane like every year, and I kept saying maybe next year, but there won't be a next year now.

What if they added a "kickoff party" style thing for the monday ("closing party"), like what hangout fest did this year? Additional optional day for something like $75. Get as many July bands as possible. If you don't wanna pay it, nothing changes. If you do wanna pay it, Sasquatch just got longer/better. That would actually be alright if the lineup was worth a shit, but so many people would bitch, since they are already paying what they did last year for 4 days.

Clipping made a statement on their facebook about Julysquatch being cancelled, but then they added a comment that they would be in Washington around that time.

So I always dismissed Die Antwoord as a shitty juggalo band for some reason, but I decided to sit down and listen to their albums and I actually really dig em. They're weird in a really unsettling way, and I love it. Hopefully their set doesn't conflict with OutKast because I really don't want to miss either. I am one of the few boarders who loves Die Antwoord and their ridiculous shenanigans, so hell yeah. I'll be pissed if they conflict with anyone of importance, but I have a feeling they might be a late nighter. From the looks of their live videos, I think there is a very good chance they will be late night. Their crazy day glow outfits and bright lights would make for a good late night. I'm still undecided about my feeling about these guys. They seem a like they try a little too hard to be weird and it makes them come off as corny, but at the same time that weirdness makes me not want to miss them. The music production sounds like it would probably be pretty good over a loud sound system, as long as there is a balance in their vocals, so their vocals don't kill it.
