Pea suggested it and Know co-signed. Here is a general thread for music news of whatever variety you deem fit to share.
Pros of such a thread: Fewer unnecessary threads Cons of such a thread: It will be the "Every thread is every thread" thread in four days, max.

Cons of such a thread: It will be the "Every thread is every thread" thread in four days, max. I thought about creating this a couple weeks ago, and was going to name it, "Every Thread Is Every Thread - Music Edition." So let's talk about curling or something.

Here's the thing. Does anyone remember when R.E.M.'s Reveal was released back in 2001? Michael Stipe held a press conference on the day that Reveal was released for the sole purpose of coming out as gay. It was utterly tacky and lame. As if anyone cared -- or didn't already know for that matter. But to use your sexuality as a marketing ploy to sell copies of a record? Especially a record as shitty as Reveal?
It took nearly a decade for me to start taking the guy seriously again. Accelerate didn't even do it all the way, I had already started mourning R.E.M. until Collapse Into Now was released. I'd hate to think there are more tasteless publicity stunts like that one up his sleeve.

It was almost as bad as the Fred Durst press conference he did for The Chocolate Starfish and Hot Dog Flavored Water.

Yeah Wayne, we know, you'll never be able to write another 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots pt. 1' or another 'Waitin' for Superman' or another 'She Don't Use Jelly' again. Quit rubbing our noses in it. The Flaming Lips are Dead. Long Live the Flaming Lips.

You can sell human skulls? I was always under the impression it was illegal to sell human body parts in the USA.
