LyonPride posted this in reply to the 1 Star review I left them haha oh god.
Sasquatch 2018 To all our Friends, Family & Foes
Thoughts to consider: Hate or Love?
Hello everyone we have a long winded apology here for you. Before we begin my name is Levi Lyon owner of the business and I want to take responsibility for our guests actions and Thank Frank Neil for making this a much larger realization than I imagined. I owe you a big apology buddy. I hope you can forgive us? Same goes with all that were bothered by our vibrations, I am very sorry.
Your complaint and review actually makes a physical impact on our families and sponsors. We are a small independent business, volunteer impact group. We actually keep the roof over our head and help others in need via this organization so know this reading into it. I promise we are compassionate and loving to all! We’d like to think we surround ourselves around good people but don’t tread too heavy on us for trying to make a cool thing happen as we don’t necessarily have control over our guests that attend. Our purpose for attending and guests that rode were all participating in a sober driver “Roll & Ride” advocation to create awareness around drinking/drugging & driving. To clarify this does not excuse our other responsibilities and we should have been more considerate!
For Sasquatch 2018, our party didn’t even arrive and turn music on until Saturday so I feel some of the responses truly were not us but we’ll take the heat regardless. Same goes with the 4am music which was turned down/off and someone not us turned the party back up again 😞 Same as before we personally will take responsibility and will make sure it never happens in the future. We want to turn your 1star into a 5star so please give us the chance to do so.
As I read some of the posts and comments over the last week I see a vast variety of frustration. At this time we will outright take the blame for some of those feelings and our organization is here to assist you in working through them. We have no problem apologizing to each and everyone of you on an individual basis also. If your upset or simply pissed about a bad night of sleep over the weekend at Sasquatch 2018 we want to compensate you for troubles.
With literally 1000’s of people at each event we attend it is possible not everyone will agree with our sense of a good time 😉. Also know that we’ve been at the Gorge Ampitheatre through the best and the worst (since 1996) and we think via your help and comments we may have found a great solution for the future. It’s called a silent disco! One thing is certain and that is we do NOT promote or condone violence, hate speech, thieves & anyone that truly works besides us is a hippy-at-heart 😉
Now with that being said if anyone feels they are one of these disgruntled attendees we ask for you to personally reach out to us so we can make amends or at least try and make it up to you message me on FB or Email us with your complaint @ LeviLyon@me.com so that we can begin the process.
So you know we are genuine, good people with a conscience we’d like to share some general information about our company so you know the impact of why we do what we do. We are NOT just some disrespectful clowns out to cause chaos, disrupt or hurt anyone with our actions. Many of the comments left are actually very hurtful and harm all of us in some way. We should ad by posting such a negative opinion on social media that your feeding the HATE monger rather than make a solid point or preventing the occurrence happening in the future. Did you know that Hate spreads more Hate and Love/Good-Vibrations rings more Positivity? I’d ask with any business (not just ours) to give them the opportunity to resolve the problem and message them first before posting for the rest of the world to hate. Please and thanks 😉
Are your intentions good? If it’s truly your goal not to have a bad experience again than lets go through the proper channels or communicate a resolution 😉 What if Sasquatch didn’t exist because we all couldn’t get along? Even though we almost made the mistake to defend only our views and only see it our way. It’s almost too easy just to say fuck-it and then we show up next year with even more of an attitude:(. It’s up to us to make an effort to get along and help one another. If you don’t like the rules than we must come together to comprise or change them!
Please one last thing to consider as we all paid to be at Sasquatch. We wanted to open our house up to other Sasquatch guests so we did. Actually 300+ other campers strolled through and pooped what they wanted and shared mic time on the top of our house. Now there was some rude behavior and we cannot control others actions so I only ask please don’t hold us accountable for the actions of others. Security did ask someone to jump on the mic and assist with reminding people to help clean-up. (Not sure if you remember 2-3 years ago @ WaterShed)? We actually brought our own bags and help clean up several other messy areas prior to leaving. All in all we handed out over 100 trash bags. I very much understand and will work with your concerns but please put yourself in our shoes and understand we were only trying to share in a good time and interact with others!
Again we are very sorry for any disturbances we’ve caused! It is certainly our fault for attracting the worst of the worst and it was not our intentions. We are very sorry!

Monday morning I was woken up by someone on a megaphone yelling “IF YOU GOT BEERS WE’LL TAKE THAT SHIT”. I thought it was just the Livenation staff trying to gather up trash/recycling but apparently it was those guys.

Anyone camping in D9 get to experience the big party bus? Check out these reviews people left. Luckily I was far enough away so it was faint but other people didn’t get off so easily. m.facebook.com/LyonPrideMusic09

Vince Staples (to the predominantly white Sasquatch audience): "Sing along with this one, if it doesn't make you uncomfortable: These N****s won't hold me back, These N****s won't hold me back!" Me: "You're not gonna trick me like that, Vince." Yeah definitely a trap considering he just went on a twitter rant a few days before that about white people using the N bomb.

I’m so glad that he didn’t cut as many Talking Heads songs as he has at other festivals. All that was missing was Born Under Punches but we still got THE GREAT CURVE so I am beyond satisfied.

I remember being so upset after seeing them for the first time in 2014 because their set didn’t live up to my hype at all and was kinda expecting the same thing this time around.
But uhhh yeah their set this year was absolutely mind blowing.

That Japanese Breakfast set had the biggest crowd I’ve seen at the Yeti since Foster the People in 2011. Has she blown up recently or something?

Eh. Wasn’t digging that Modest Mouse set. Might be because Im not into anything they released after The Moon & Antarctica and that setlist was pretty heavy on new stuff.
That Tiny Cities Made of Ashes tho.

Geno, when are you heading in? I’m going to be leaving from Portland immediately after Rosenstock’s set at the Aladdin. Probably around 5 on Thursday.

Welp. Due to me being short on money this month/not having anyone interested in going with me to help out with expenses/not having bought my pass, I think this will be the first Sasquatch I'm skipping in 7 years.
And while I'm bummed, it's not too much of a loss since I've already seen everyone on the lineup that I wanted to see. Also, was able to score a really good seat for David Byrne's Portland show that weekend and he was really the only MUST SEE set for me. Maybe things will change in the next week but yeah don't think it's happening.
