Congrats cure102!!!
Don't be bummed about it, there will be plenty of festivals again next year too. Having fun with your little guy/girl will probably turn out to be more fun anyway.
Again congrats!

From what I hear, Bob Dylan sucks live. It feels so wrong to say this.......but i have to agree. I am a very big Bob Dylan fan, and I got the chance to see him this fall. I'm not going to say he was terrible or anything, I was thrilled to get to hear Like a Rolling Stone, but as an overall, I walked out of there kinda disappointed.

I'm not sure if there is any truth or not to Felix's "predicition", but I thought I would add that there is a picture on the NIN site today of Dave Navaro in the studio. Maybe we could expect to see NIN as the return act, and Janes Addiction as the reunion act. That would fit a lot better having No Doubt there.
But that guy is probably 100% full of shit anyway. We'll find out on Tuesday.

I can vouch for the Britney story....that VW van was right beside us. 100% true. And the dogs name was Taco.

I was just looking into the VIP pass after seeing it mentioned here. Doesn't sound like you get much for your money. I would have to agree. I was contemplating buying VIP tixs for this year (if the line up convinces me) and was looking at what all you get for the cash.....and I'm thinking: not much. But I wanted to see what others, who have had the VIP package in the past thought. What are your opinions? Is it worth the dough?

Just tell them your going to the festival, because 90% of the vehicles crossing that day are also going to the festival (that's what the guard to us anyway) and they don't give a shit. We have had really good luck at the border for the last 3 fests.

Just watched that movie on the weekend, and it did have a couple of laughs........but that's 102 minutes of my life I won't get back. IMO......don't waste your time with it.

Did anyone follow that brooklynvegan link? Somebody posted that Radiohead will be there. Don't toy with my fragile emotions.

I remember seeing the Decemberists in '06 and thinking "what's so great about these guys??" Three years later I love their new album. It's funny how your tastes change. I also saw DCFC in '06 and thought they were the greatest thing since sliced bread, and during last years DCFC performance, I found myself wondering "what the hell was it that I liked about these guys???"

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned the Constantines as a possibilty yet or not. I see that they are touring soon and have new music out, and played back in 06. Actually I think they were on stage when the hail started.

I think that you are an ass clown and you will fuck this all up. Then we will have to hike in and sleep in a square like Coachella ..........what? ? I'm laughing, but I'm not sure if this was intended as joke or not??

I kinda agree with what your saying there. Some good choices in there bradberad12. I too would love to see the Holdy Steady and the Tragically Hip again. I loved seeing the Hip after surviving that aweful hail storm. And seeing MMJ, Ben Kweller and Ween would just make my day.

I see a lot of people are hoping that the whole Oasis / Weezer thing doesn't happen. Last August I went to see Oasis, basically because my wife really liked them. So I went into the show with pretty low expectations. I really hadn't listened to anything recent by them, so I went and got a bunch of their newer music, and had a listen. I actually enjoyed quite a bit of their new stuff, and the show absolutely blew me away. VERY IMPRESSED!!! They totally won me over. I would be very happy to see them again, cause I do think they would surprise alot of others as they surprised me.
Also, just as a side note.....Ryan Adams opened for them at the show I was at. I was pretty excited to see this guy. Ryan Adams however did not win me over.

Wow. Except for Paul McCartney, I would have to agree with you bobbyrisigliano. I don't won't to say anything bad about the cure, because I know that won't sit well with thecure102, and I don't want to bash anyones favourite band here..........BUT I kinda thought the Cure were a bit of a snor last year. That being said however........there were a ton of people who didn't think that too. As far as the Killers go......thanks, but no thanks.

Hey bluesborn, thats fine if you don't care for Pearl Jam and what not, and you've got the right to that opinion (even though I disagree)......but you're right about that post from knowidyuh......it is awesome!!! I for one am praying they don't say No Doubt will be there.

I so hope KofL is there, headliner or not. I would fucking cream myself if it was them and Pearl Jam!!! I really with the Kooks would be back and Rogue Wave. I can't wait to see who else is going to be there. So fucking excited about this year!! Too true. I would also "cream myself" if Pearl Jam was to play, and KOL open for them. My guess are the Decemberists, which would be good. Neil Young, which would be fucking awesome!!! And Wilco headlining one night. So I'll guess Franz Ferdinand followed by Wilco on Saturday night. The Decemberists followed by the legendary Neil Young on Sunday night. And finally Kings of Leon followed by Pearl Jam on Monday night. Very wishful thinking, but allow me to dream....... I think we might see Weezer and Oasis substitute for the Saturday or Sunday show however.

What about the Coachella lineup? When does that one get announced, not that I will be going, I just like to compare the lineups between the two. And in my ever so humble opion, the Sasquatch lineup was WAY better than Coachella last year. Don't get me wrong, I like Portishead, but I would have felt a little screwed over having them in a headlining slot. And to top it off......Prince was cool in 1985, and only 1985.
