I know most of you don't care, but I figured I would be nice and post this anyway. The End is streaming (video) their Deck the Hall Ball live right now. Foster the People is playing right now, followed by Cage the Elephant, Death Cab, and Mumford. It's pretty professionally shot so if you're interested it's worth watching. www.1077theend.com/pages/11624414.php

Wait - Death Cab is on the bill and MUMFORD is headlining? What the fuck is going on?? Mumford & Sons play on Top 40 radio. Death Cab doesn't.

Also, the ratio of DCFC to Mumford played on the end this year is pretty heavily in favor of Mumford.

When the show was announced like a month ago death cab was announced as the headliner. It's possible that there was a logistical reason for doing it? While the top 40 point is well taken, the end plays the hell out of death cab and they were putting on the event.
Still, if anyone thought that mumford couldn't headline sasquatch...

Still, if anyone thought that mumford couldn't headline sasquatch... What makes this hilarious is the one person who thinks the Black Keys aren't big enough to headline is one of the first people to say Mumford & Sons is.

So Electric Six is playing Vancouver in March. Has anyone seen them before? I could see that show being really great or really crap.

(They don't let electric guy #6 in to our country, eh) GO! They are phenomenal live. Saw them at Lollapalooza in 2007 and then three times since. They're total cheese and highly entertaining. Dick Valentine tells the strangest stories and they tend to get really hammered throughout the show, like the majority of the crowd.

They're the ones with that song that goes "My heart belongs to you, but my cock is community property" right?

Going to a show with a "special secret guest" tonight and I'm assuming it's going to be atmosphere...I've never seen them before so it should be pretty cool. Plus, hometown show in a tiny venue

Wait - Death Cab is on the bill and MUMFORD is headlining? What the fuck is going on?? Not a huge fan of DCFC but really this seems backwards to me. I could see them headlining a festival with this knowledge. oh geez

They headlined Sasquatch last year. Although I am sure that is because of the whole Arcadian Friars debacle.

Death Cab peaked a couple albums ago. Mumford is still peaking. There you have it.

I'm thinking what happened there is it was cheaper to have Mumford & Sons headline since they command not as large of a paycheck. They're not up to DCFC's level yet as far as crowds go, but they're certainly rising fast. I remember them playing at Noon on the main stage at Sasquatch the other year and having not a clue who they were.
