You should have come to the club though silly. I wanted to go to the club but no one else with me was down. Especially after I showered and caught my second wind. If we would've been able to meet up again at the show I'm sure the rest of my crew would have been down though. Next time!

I had a great time at the Bassnectar show in Calgary, except that the coat check line was stoopid long. It was great seening Souly again and meeting the mysterious new BF. And Souly claimed to have run into womp while she and I were separated, but alas, I never pooped into him myself.

Bassnectar was so cool and the light show was kind of my first big indoor light show! I had a ton of fun and it was so cool seeing J-Dawg and Womp Womp! J-Dawg is seriously the nicest guy ever. The BF and I had a really fun time with him and we are extremely grateful for the hospitality. I realize I'm writing this all using really weird grammar but I'm too lazy to fix it.

Yeah, it was great! Awesome seeing Souly and the new man. I was looking for J-dawg and the famous hat, but no luck.
That sound was mental though. Like an idiot I didn't wear ear plugs...big mistake. My ears are still ringing. Great night though.

Feist was amazing last night. She played around 10 songs from Metals and they sounded incredible. She's touring with Mountain Man, who did all the harmonies on Metals, they are absolutely spectacular. Between them and Feist I don't think you will hear as many pitch perfect vocals in a single night. They got a little a capella solo to show off how mind boggling insane they really are.

My ears are still ringing. Great night though. I was up at the front by the left speakers for most of the show. Glowing light blue cowboy hat. And as for earplugs, I always bring numerous extra pairs of foam ones, so if you'd found me I would have given you a pair. I handed out 2 pairs in the security line getting in and 2 more during Bonobo's set. I noticed during Bassnectar's set most people around me were wearing earplugs. Given how close I was to the speakers, I wasn't surprised.

Did everyone in the NW completely ignore that Prince is playing in Tacoma in December? Mufucking Prince! No one is going?

I should probably go to this. I'm not much of a fan, but I recognize an important show when it happens. Know, you know you wanna train it up here and kick it with dearest for some Prince action.

I'm already delaying my trip to see the family for xmas by a day or two for Kan-Jye-Z. That's the punchline, I'll be out of town for the Prince show. Too bad, I saw Prince for the first time about six years ago, and it was gigantically rad.

I want to go but the only tickets that I can afford are in the section where your nose bleed gets a nose bleed. If I'm going to be in Tacoma and around a bunch of people in their late 40s reliving the dream of the 80s, I better be able to check out Prince's face lift.
