This is the last Friday of mutt work in the year 2014, and so the thought of spending a little time on the board to close out the year is a smiler. I have had the pleasure of meeting a few of you this last year, smile, and have enjoyed the witty repartee the rest of you sling around here, more smile. Especially smile enabling is the excellent music I have been turned onto in the last several months, and even more smiley is rediscovering some old tunes that I had placed in the memory banks. I'm looking forward to my 2nd solar orbit here in Sasquatch territory, and will likely run into more of you grinning higabons and laughing howlers out there sometime in this next trip around the sun, big smile. May you all have an outstanding holiday and a festivus new year. Big shit eating grin....

My bedtime is changing. After 18 years of getting up at 5 am punching in at the Lazy B, I have been set free. While not of voluntary nature, my seperation will now allow me to reset my body clock, enabling nocturnal activities of dubious nature. What's the best Portland show coming up in the next couple of months that I can look forward to as my 1st gig out after 10 pm in twenty years? Maybe some of you Portland boarders would join me for a drink or three?  |

Turns out I was supposed to get a $250/month raise back in October, but my district manager fucked up the paperwork so it didn't happen. Talked to HR today and they're putting it through right away and making it retroactive so I'll get the difference for the last four and a half months all at once. Kinda makes up for the whole no tax return thing this year.

They announced today that my small town of Walla Walla is a stop over for the Gentlemen of Road Tour. We get Foo Fighters and Mumford. Tune yards. The Flaming Lips. And a bunch more. Tickets are $199 and that includes camping August 14-15

MLS finally signed a new CBA which means no strike and soccer starting this weekend. I dunno if anyone else cares but I am jacked.

Fuck yea I'm stoked about that. In addition, I might be a Sounders fan, but I am beyond thrilled to hear that Orlando's inaugural match has sold over 60,000 tickets. Awesome fucking news for soccer in the US.
