If he stumbled upon this board he would read your posts and then go back to BOOKING HIS FAVORITE BANDS and COUNTING STACKS OF MONEY. Hilarious. Well put.

Star power means nothing if your live show is mediocre. I've always heard nothing but phenomenal things about MMJ and Massive Attack's live shows. Bonnaroo can keep their Jay-Z's, KoL's, and DMB. I don't imagine any of them doing anything other than playing their straight forward songs on stage. While I certainly see your point, describing DMB as just playing their songs on a stage isn't quite right. They don't have an elaborate live show, which is fine, not everyone will and that by no means makes a bad live band. They do some long ass jam sessions on various songs though, probably to no one's great surprise. I've seen them before, and I've kind of moved past being a fan, but yeah.

This thread topic is a bummer anyway, let's head way off track and stay there. I ignored Drive-By Truckers until about four days ago because I thought they were shitty "alt-country but not in a good way" boring "rockers." Turns out they are god damn great. The point of the thread was to give everyone who hates the lineup, and will eventually leave this board, a place to vent, so they don't infest the other threads with their negativity. It didn't really work though. As for Drive-By Truckers, I got into them last year, and am kicking myself for having missed their last NW tour (in fall of 2008 I believe). That Mr. Hood is a hell of a song writer.

I regret not going... but here's my chance to make up for my giant error!

Have you listened to Public Enemy? That's not a sarcastic question; I'm just curious if you hate them for their music or because Flavor Flav is involved. i have heard their music....not a fan. AT ALL. ahhhhhh welll. i soppose i should open my horizons a bit and just embrace the fact that public enemy will be there. but stilll.......haha.

I agree that Adam Zacks probably doesn't get his feelings hurt by some of the comments on this board, but he would be foolish to not visit it. Between forums, blogs, and twitter, a concert promoter has never had such an amazing chance to get the pulse of the general public. I'm sure he is aware that the general consensus is that this is a very deep lineup with many artists putting out hyped albums this year, but that the headliners have to be taken on trust because they aren't the typical "names" at the top of the poster. As others have mentioned, I would be curious to know if the ticket sales are on par with past years at this point.

We might be a half-decent cross section of the "average Sasquatch attender", but really 20-30 people out of 22000 isn't exactly a significant sample, and certainly not what you should cater to, no matter how much we'd like them to

I don't think we're a very good cross section of the average Sasquatch fan, most of of the people I'm going with are pretty pumped for Kid Cudi and MGMT, two acts that have not got much attention on this board (really the only time we talk about MGMT is to discuss how much they suck live)....but I think our reaction to the lineup is similar aka positive

methodacting, PUT UP OR SHUT THE FUCK UP. Get your tickets on Craiglist. The lineup will not improve, it's going to stay like this. I understand the joy of trolling a forum, I do, but you seem legitimately disappointed about the lineup. So fucking what? We are all clearly excited; we all have passes -- you're not going to change any of our minds. Do you think Adam Zacks is going to visit this board? Adam Zacks doesn't know we exist; he doesn't give a shit about us. If he stumbled upon this board he would read your posts and then go back to BOOKING HIS FAVORITE BANDS and COUNTING STACKS OF MONEY. Really, what the fuck are you even doing here? Aside from my general irritation with your Whiny Bitch Syndrome, NO ONE HERE GIVES A SHIT. Are you fucking stupid or something? This thread is called "If you don't like the lineup then post here". I don't like the lineup and I posted here. What the fuck is your problem? That's what this thread is for, BITCHING about the disappointing lineup. If I'm bringing you down, stay the fuck off the "I'm disappointed in the lineup" thread dumbshit. Fuck Adam Zacks, he brought in a bunch of good cheap bands to line his pockets even more. I'm glad a lot of the acts are coming but I feel ripped off based on my previous four years.

Worst Sasquatch lineup ever. I'm excited to see MMJ, She and Him, Public Enemy, New Pornographers and Broken Social Scene. I'm not interested in a single band playing on Saturday and historically, that has always been my favorite day at sasquatch. Get the Red Hot Chili Peppers (hell they headlined the always terrible endfest a couple years ago, so don't pretend that is impossible). Good god, it took me days to get over how bad the lineup is. A large group of us had planned on going this year and now everybody bailed after this travesty. I'm sorry, but didn't you just say you were selling your tickets? I won't be selling them if the lineup improves...its a wait and see thing at this point. Festivals often announce acts after the initial lineup. I want to go, thats why I bought tix in advance, but it looks like I will have to sell. Here's to hoping that I don't.

I see. Well, here's hoping that the beloved Red Hot Chili Peppers don't jump on the bill so that you can sell your tickets, you tasteless fuck.

But I don't understand what your motives for coming on the board solely to complain are? Do you have a goal in mind? Is this your way of "venting"? I am seriously interested in the psychology behind this.

I imagine my motives are similar to you coming on solely to rejoice about the lineup and berate those that do not. That what the board is for, to express your opinions, whether positive or negative. It doesn't take a psychology degree to figure that one out.

I see. Well, here's hoping that the beloved Red Hot Chili Peppers don't jump on the bill so that you can sell your tickets, you tasteless fuck. If liking My Morning Jacket, She and Him, Pubic Enemy, Camera Obscura, Kid Cudi, and yes, The Red Hot Chili Peppers makes me a tasteless fuck in your opinion, what does that make you? I'd say small-minded and a follower. I'm tired of everyone talking about the "deep lineup" this year. FYI-to follow the baseball analogy, a true deep lineup includes at least one heavy hitter, and this year sasquatch has none. Ooooooh Pavement, wow a shitty indie boy band is reuniting, they still bore.

I swore off issuing threats of physical violence over this board a long time ago, so I'm going to skip the "For the love of god, find me at the festival so I can punch you in the face" response and head right to the please just leave the board because you are stupid and no one here gives a shit about your ridiculous opinions. You hate Pavement. You like the Red Hot Chili Peppers. For the love of god, SELL YOUR SASQUATCH TICKETS and GO TO THE WARPED TOUR.

Speaking of which, if I decide to go to Bamboozle a few weeks before Sasquatch will the people there be able to smell it on me? I don't want to be shunned.
