Very interesting. Also on the East Coast for the traditional THING days. Would seem to say that if she is at THING, it is happening earlier this year, probably 8/16-8/18 as she is in Boise on the 19th after a gap. After Khurangbin's announcement, i'm putting my money on these THING dates. pitchfork.com/news/khruangbin-announce-a-la-sala-tour-dates/Came here to post the same thing. If Thing returns, I think you’re right.

That seems pretty strong evidence. Not the biggest Khruangbin fan, but whatever. They'd probably headline at this point right?

For sure. They're playing 2 nights at Edgefield. But are we getting excited for nothing? Is it possible these artists are playing Day In Day Out? That was 8/12-13 last year and 8/12-14 in 2022.

That is an unfortunately great point. I've been to DIDO every year just because I couldn't pass on a few of the names, but man that festival is terribly run.

I will never understand the DIDO hate.

I will never understand the DIDO hate. Horribly long bathroom lines, no shade, no real seating options (outside of VIP), putting the trash cans right in the middle of some of the only grass in the shade! Edit: forgot how much that trash thing pissed me off

The bathroom line thing was kinda funny because there was basically never a wait in the 21+ section towards the rear. Does Seattle Center close the Armory bathrooms and the ones by the fountain? Seems like an oversight.

Bikini Kill playing Forest Grove (their Portland market date) 8/21 with no Seattle shows. If we’re thinking Thing would be the previous weekend, though, they’re in LA and San Francisco 8/15-19. But, after 8/21 in Forest Grove, no shows until 8/27 in Denver.

Thing has been third week of August right? 8/23-8/25 is ripe for a Bikini Kill spot!

DIDO confirmed for 7/12-14.
These August gaps are looking very THINGY again

"Totally Tubular Fest" happening at Remlinger in June. Might be a test run for a larger multi-band event at the venue? Nice to see the farm getting some use.

Now Chromeo has announced a date at Remlinger on Friday, September 6th. Very intriguing.

Beach Boys have no WA stops and a weeeeeeeird gap between Idaho and Oregon without a show for the presumed Friday of Thing.
There's no way, right?

Well it's officially happening! Rampantly speculating that MGMT will be playing based on the sole fact that they announced THING's return on the same day as their new album release.

Announcement post mentioned "new dates," I'm gonna just throw all current speculation into a barrel fire 🥴

Dates are officially August 9-11! Looking forward to cross referencing every single active tour after work tonight.
Same weekend/coast as Outside Lands so probably some overlaps there.
Rampant and unhinged, but Sigur Ros as they play East Coast early September and could be working their way through the West early August. Mostly want to forgive them for last year's Thing conflict.

Ritchy Rich and the Coal Miners and Mitski are also possible songs. QOTSA is weird, they have a gap Sunday of Thing but it's be split between shoes in Denmark and France. I might be leaning towards "No One Knows" being a very generic title. They Might Be Giants?? St Vincent?
