The time has come, the time has come, the time has come today! No, LCD Soundsystem isn't returning next year, but the countdown clock on its website indicates Sasquatch is! Let's start speculating! I recently suggested Arctic Monkeys, St. Vincent, SZA, Travi$ Scott, and Macklemore. I don't think Arctic Monkeys will be there anymore given the recent news they're just now starting to record their new album, but it could still happen. St. Vincent, of course, has a new album out this fall and no West Coast tour dates on her fall US tour. I expect her to play Coachella and then the PNW eventually - hopefully at Sasquatch! I think she could sub this time around. I was just spitballing about SZA and Travi$ Scott, but both artists seem really popular with the kids. And don't count out Macklemore until Memorial Day passes and he didn't show up at the Gorge. I'm sure we're about to debate whether ODESZA is big enough to headline... I'll let someone for Seattle give a more informed opinion, but I'm leaning toward yes. I don't think Fleet Foxes will play, unless they end up releasing their rumored fourth album next year. They were ready to play by Sasquatch 2017 last year, but weren't booked, nor did they play Sasquatch behind their second album. Other veterans I could see returning: Cut Copy, HAIM, Nick Murphy, Portugal. The Man, and the War On Drugs. And I don't want to suggest her, but Lana Del Rey's 2015 set sure was popular. No West Coast dates for her yet either. There are my initial thoughts. Who else you got? Apologies to Goldbart der Hexenmeister, who started a similar thread immediately after 2017's lineup dropped..

Fuck yes, let’s do this. First of all, I haven’t give up on Arctic Monkeys yet. Even if they are just now going into the studio, their album should be out early enough next year to line up with a decent US festival run. However, I’m not as confident in them as I once was. Next, how much are we reading into the fact the Foo Fighters are playing Portland and Spokane on their fall tour, but not Seattle? Conventional wisdom says they are too big for Sasquatch. But then I remember that they once played a show in some small town for like 500 people just because they wrote a letter and asked very nicely. Combine Dave Grohl’s ties to Seattle with the fact that he genuinely se ms like the nicest, “not in it for the money”, huge rock star on the planet and you never know what might happen. (See also: Pearl Jam) I think Odesza are defientely big enough to headline Sasquatch at this point. Do I like it? Not really. But they did headline a couple similar sized festivals last summer and they are from here, so I think they could be pretty likely. Frank Ocean: because, well, you know. Hot take headliner speculation: Foo Fighters / Frank Ocean / Odesza ... Frank Ocean cancels two weeks before the festival and Arctic Monkeys step in to replace him. I have so much more speculation to do, but no time right now. Thank you matt for finally starting this thread. I will try to dump my thoughts here as they pop into my head.

Foo Fighters aren't even playing Portland on this tour - they're playing Eugene. So no Seattle, Portland, nor Vancouver for the Foos on this huge tour. (They are, however, playing Spokane, Eugene, Nampa, and Billings, so it's not like they aren't touching the PNW, just not the biggest cities.)

War on Drugs is a virtual lock isn't he? Cut Copy is due for a repeat (with a new album out too), Odesza can go fuck themselves, and Foos have headlined Sasquatch before - I could see them coming back.
Other baseless picks:
Fleet Foxes Thundercat New Pornographers Who Is She? Perfume Genius Austra Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith (this one is my dark horse but I WANT TO BELIEVE)
