38 here. Not quite 40, but pushing it. Did you go to Lollapalooza at the Gorge? Lolla 94 was my first music festival and my first time at the Gorge. Went every year after that until the last one in 98.

First Lolla in KC--1991, and 4th trip to Sasquatch this year. I love the vibe of sasquatch...home away from home, well, sorta. ;P

I am just old enough to have missed the Lolla days. Looking at those lineups I can only imagine how awesome that was. I started going to the Gorge in 99 and have made an effort to go to at least one show at the Gorge every year. I did miss a few years in the mid 2000's.

All of those Lollapalooza Gorge shows were awesome, but '94 was extra special. That experience literally changed my life, plus the lineup was top notch: Green Day (the summer Dookie came out), L7, Nick Cave, Gorge Clinton & The P-Funk All Stars, Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins...

Applying a little deductive reasoning to this thread entitled 40+ indicates that none of you youngsters are 40+... maybe one. Anyway, I vaguely recall tripping my brains out at Black Sabbath in 1978 and getting lost in the parking lot afterwards for a couple of hours - my first rock concert. Best Sasquatch memory involves walking up on Mogwai in 2014... the last half hour with them was my favorite part of the weekend. Wish I would've known who the hell they were before the show. The vibe from the wall of sound they were putting out literally pumped directly into the ganglia in my brain, causing my then 52 year old self to revert back to some actual head banging, resulting in a wicked neck and back ache the next morning. Ah, the joys of youth.

40+ here... Mogwai was so incredible. Probably the best rare jewel of all the sasquatches....well, then there was tame impala in 13. This oldie is really looking forward to these newish acts---caribou, john mark nelson, wolf alice (finally making it)..etc etc. I'm gonna die loving live music.
