best route from seattle

been hearing a lot of difference things (slash horror stories) about arriving in the morning. i was wondering if it is crucial to leave seattle tonight or what time should be the absolute latest tomorrow morning. also, thoughts on taking highway two especially if we leave tomorrow morning.

our plan was to leave seattle at 5am and i guess we will take highway 2, unless people think highway 90 will be okay (seems unlikely?)

Most people that would care to weigh in are already at the Gorge. Almost no one takes the 2 as the 90 goes straight there. Traffic shouldn't be too bad tomorrow since that's when the festival starts. I would leave tonight if I were you, you're missing the best party of the weekend!

If you left around 5 am you shouldn't hit any traffic and arrive around 10, assuming you're traveling by hot air ballon.
