Hello fellow sasquatchers, I am looking for someone to carpool with from my hotel in Ellensburg to the event site. It is for myself, plus one, and we would pitch in for gas. Ideally we would like to get from our hotel Saturday early afternoon, and back Saturday night. This would continue Sunday and Monday as well. Even if just for one day, we'll take what we can get! Also, if none of you are able to help, can you tell me if we have a good chance of getting to and from by hitchhiking? Has anyone seen people doing it, or done it themselves? Any and all input will be greatly appreciated! I won these tickets from a radio station in Austin TX, so we are going to be a long way from home, and totally dependant on the kindness of strangers, so if you see a couple on the side of the road with their thumbs and or a sasquatch or bust sign, please stop and pick us up!

Most people camp on site, but there will more than likely be some fellow festival goers staying at your hotel. Make friends!

I would rather camp, for I hear it's part of the whole Sasquatch experience, however the radio station payed for a room, so I'm going to take full advantage! Also, is it even possible to get a camp site without a car? I was thinking of just packing my tent and just forgoing the hotel, but again, not sure how that would work. Someone out there PLEASE be my friend!

You can walk in if you like, but that still doesn't solve your problem of getting there from Ellensburg. Are you not getting to your hotel until Friday night or something? You know there are performances that day too right?

Unfortunatly my flight doesn't arrive in Seattle til Friday evening. I was able to arrange a ride from Seattle to Ellensburg, but that's as far as my friends willing to go, plus that's where my hotel is. I'm bummed I'm missing Fridays lineup, but hey... a free trip is a free trip and I can't complain. I'm just grateful for the opprotunity to go. I just have to figure out this last leg of the trip.

If I was you I would bring a small tent, try to get a ride out Saturday morning and set it up in the campground. You could even see if you find some nice people who don't mind you joining them (shouldn't be too hard). Then at the end of Saturday, if you can't find a ride back to Ellensburg or you decide you want to party in the campground, you have another option.

Thanks Davers, that's what I was thinking of doing.

Make sure you stake the thing down though, I've seen many a tent flying through the air on a windy afternoon.
