Hahaha! What's a "moral issue"?

I think an e-cig company giving away tickets to a minor could be seen in some ways as trying to entice underage people to use/buy tobacco products even though it's illegal.

What I meant was I don't know of a single underage poster.

That won't be an issue here. Be sure to message Gramma or myself if you're serious about making this happen. PM sent.

Also some people just general feel that any form of tobacco or ecig use is just morally wrong. It's fine to each their own but it does come up which is why I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't step on anyone's toes so to speak.

I've never actually had an e-cig... it's working already.

Winning a pair of tickets would greatly alleviate my financial situation, as I'm sure it would with many of us. Burgertime, if this works out, thank you greatly my good sir!

Here is one way to randomize it. To simplify this, lets assume there are 25 entries, but the #25 can be any number as you'll see:
Step #1: Find 2 (trustworthy) random posters, and 2 mods to help.
Step #2: All 25 names are publicly put in any kind of order on the message board. (in order of "signing up" works well).
Step #3: Random person #1 goes to random.org, and creates a list of 25 numbers from #1 to #25 in a mixed up order. He PMs this list to BOTH MODS. whoever was #1 on the public list, will go wherever #1 is on the random list. (Eg: if the public list of 3 names was Xname, Yname, Zname, and the random list came back 3, 1, 2. The order would now change to Zname, Xname, Yname).
I can clarify if that is unclear.
After this both mods will have a reordered list (THAT THEY KEEP PRIVATE), and both of their lists should be the same.
Step #4. Random person #2 sends the Mods his random.org list identical to how #1 did it. HE AT NO TIME CAN SEE RANDOM PERSON #1s list. This again shuffles the order. Both mods again keep a private list of the reordered names.
Step #5. The two mods compare their twice shuffled lists, and make sure they are identical.
Step #6. Burgertime picks a number between #1 and #25. This corresponds to a person on the list, they win the ticket.
Step #7. Random poster #1 and Random poster #2 both post what they sent the mods, to ensure that noone changed anything along the way.
Step #8 Sasquatch.

To clarify Step #4 is shuffling the already once shuffled list, not the original list again...

I think the intent was to give away a pair of tickets, but that sounds very thorough if they're doing 2 giveaways for 1 ticket.
Oh I get it now. Continue on.
Also, just to clarify, that whole process is only necessary if we don't trust the mods to do it correctly the first time without any sort of tampering. I think we can all agree that they wouldn't do that, so it might not be necessary.

We're currently working with burgertime on this. Rustuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu is right, the giveaway will more than likely be for a pair of tickets together, not separately.
The mods will probably not be involved in the draw in any way. This contest for all intents and porpoises is outside the boards realm of control. The only say we have as mods is whether we consider this to be legit, and whether we are allowing it to take place on our forum. So far, all signs point to yes.

Probably wouldn't be too hard to have everyone interested post in a thread and just exclude anyone with less than X number of posts. From their just use a random number generator or something. This is exactly what to do. Anybody under, say 50 posts cannot enter? How about the limit be 500 posts as of yesterday.

The guy giving away the tickets should just put everyone's names in a hat and draw one. 2 steps, done.
