Jesus, Nick. I'm terribly sorry to hear that. We had to put down my 17 year old cat a couple of years ago, and my dog just turned 14 last month. I know exactly how you're feeling right now. You're in my thoughts man.

My grandmother had to put down my childhood dog, Indiana Jones the Poodle, the other day too. Now our dogs get to chew on the big bone in the sky together yo.

Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna grill her up a steak before saying goodbye. And then get shitty with whiskey and chops, but you know.

No words for how bad I feel for you Nick. Lost my best friend I have ever had 7 years ago and I still think about him almost every day. I have another gorgeous long haired shepherd but he is not my wonderful Strider and I cannot think of anything in my life that hurt more than his passing including my fathers death strangely enough. A new puppy helps but can never replace. All I can say is your life would have been less wonderful without all the experiences you have had with him. Hold the memories precious! Fuck...letting go sucks:-(

I hope we all realize we have to do shots to reconcile our mortal coils with her beauty and love.

That sounds like a necessity. It would bring shame to their memory if we didn't, in my opinion.

Count me in. In a few days I'm going to get it all trimmed and nice looking so I don't look homeless, it will be perfectly primed for rubbing.
I can't believe it you guys, 5 days from now we'll all be at the campsite making dreams come true. Hopefully that thought is enough to counter the things that make us want to kick rocks for the next few days.

Just realized I fucked up my vacation request for this weekend and didn't end up taking the Wednesday after Sasquatch off like I thought. FUCKING GREAT. Who needs a recovery day anyway?

I almost never do a recovery day since my work is always pretty busy around Sasquatch. Every time I vow to change that, and by next year I'm all "Ehhh I'll be fine by Wednesday"
I think I enjoy screwing myself over.

My boss essentially cancelled another employee's request for that day off so I could have it. I might not have the best job, but holy shit I love my boss. He's been going to the Gorge for years, so I think he understands the necessity of a recovery day after leaving that place. That, and/or he's well aware of how useless I would be on Wednesday anyway.

OH GOD DAMNIT.
Someone stole my fucking debit card number. GREAT timing. Thankfully my bank is fucking awesome when it comes to fraud detection and they denied all of the attempted charges. Only thing that sucks is I won't have a debit card for a week or two, but at least I'll be able to pull out cash before heading to the Gorge.

Sorry to hear that, Pea! At least they didn't discover it while you were already at Sasquatch.

Migraine and the two pharmacies I bothered to call don't have either of my meds in stock. Was going to try to cutesie my way into a free mumford ticket tonight, but I'll probably be barfing instead. Awesome.

Last night my best friend and life partner received a phone call that her younger brother, age 14, had a seizure that caused his heart to stop. He went without a heart beat for 25 minutes before a faint pulse was felt by medics. He was rushed to ICU in Calgary and put on life support. He passed away this morning. I am not writing this looking for sympathy or a response. I am writing this because a 14 year old boy, who without a heart beat, came back to life and all his loved ones had enough time to travel from where ever they were to make peace with an impossible situation and say one last I love you. That is one bad ass kid. Jaden you're my fucking hero for that. Love you little bro.
