We were running off hookups at an RV campground so we avoided the generator. The place we rented from charged pretty high prices for using the generator. One suggestion I have is to be stingy with the water usage, we filled up the grey water quickly without showering or using the sink too much. I definitely recommend taking bathroom business to the Honey Buckets, and take short showers as if you're camping (get wet, turn water off, lather, rinse off). It's my first year going to Sasquatch so I'm not sure if there are RV hookups at the Gorge campgrounds, someone else on here could probably answer. As for keeping beverages cold, I'd still recommend going with a cooler and ice, I'd try to stay off the generator except for necessary things such as keeping meats cold in the fridge/freezer if necessary. Run your refrigerator on propane and it won't drain your batteries. And no, there are no hookups whatsoever at the Gorge campground. The only hookups you can get is if you go to Wild Horse, and they go really quick. They have been sold out probably since January.

Ya the fridge in our unit does not use the generator. The generator runs the outlets and the microwave.

As far as I can tell from looking around online, as long as a vehicle is registered as an RV, I dont need a special license to drive it in any state correct?

My Sasquatch experience just went from "awesome" to "mindblowing", potentially. Just gotta get the steering column straightened out and we'll be rolling in style.

Is there still room on friday to camp? There should be, but in years past they created an overflow area on the edge of the main parking lot. The advantage is you were much closer to the music, the disadvantage is you were away from the really big parties.

In the campground. I'm not sure I understand your question. You're not going to be given much of a choice on where you park.

You're going to park your RV wherever they tell you to and wherever there is space. Parties of all shapes and sizes spring up all over the campground, and being near one (or three or ten) won't really be something you need to worry about.
The campground is an enormous circular cow pasture and 30,000 revelers are going to be cramming vehicles and tents in at all possible angles. Just picture that and be realistic about the facts: planning ahead to jockey for a premium location (of which there aren't any, really) is pointless. You're going to camp where you end up shutting off your engine and you'll be lucky to be able to find it two hours later regardless of where it is.

Aww I just can't be that mean. See the big black X? Right there. That is the middle of where all the big parties are. Park within thirty yards of that X or your Sasquatch experience will be mind-numbingly dull.

Lumpy. I still can't come to terms that you will not be joining us this year. I refuse to accept it.

I know, posting pictures like this is my way of grieving.
*cough* though you gotta come to Hopscotch.
The sick thing is there's really ONE performance that's technically preventing me from coming. I have one that Saturday night then one Tuesday the day after that I could technically make it back for if I got an early enough flight Tuesday.
BUT ALAS that damn pesky performance right in the middle of it Saturday night.
