God. That I've Seen Footage video precludes human thought. It is animalian. It is anti-reason. That's my new favorite music video.

This reminds me of a PARENTAL ADVISORY version of one of the free credit report commercial songs I'm pretty sure they use the same producer. This made my brain die a little. Also I showed this to one of my buddies and he linked me to this in return.

I will probably listen to 'The Long Drive...' and 'Lonesome Crowded West' on my drive home from Kamloops on Friday. Maybe it's because the titles are self-fulfillig prophecies, but these two albums are probably my favorite road trip albums to listen to (especially when it's a long drive with nothing to think about in the lonesome, crowded west).

Randy Blythe (aka the vocalist for Lamb of God) was arrested for man slaughter apparently... Pretty metal.

Randy Blythe (aka the vocalist for Lamb of God) was arrested for man slaughter apparently... Pretty metal. What a joke. Manslaughter is basically defined as accidentally killing someone due to negligence. A fan bum rushed the stage (allegedly multiple times), and Blythe pushed him into the crowd. The fan hit his head and later died. Was Blythe negligent for pushing the fan off stage? The fan wasn't allowed on stage to begin with. If the case ever makes it to court (which it won't), he would be acquitted after they utter two words. "Dimebag Darrell."

Yeah so the new Muse song is really bad. It's also the official Olympic song and I'm already sick of it. [soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/warnerbrosrecords/muse-survival[/soundcloud] I like Muse but think this song is pretty terrible, for what it's worth. This is what comes from an 18 year old band that's probably already written 95% of the good songs that they'll ever make. If they had stopped after Black Holes and Revelations I would have been fine with that. But no, these guys are only in their early-mid 30s and they'll likely stick around another 10+ years cranking out albums every 2 or 3 years that are each a step down from the last.

I love the Soundcloud widget; it's handy. But the little pop-up comments make me cringe.
That said, I'm two minutes into this song and I don't hate it yet. Official song of the Olympics, though, who the fuck chooses these things? Radiohead's 'I Might Be Wrong' was the official song of the SLC Olympics, and that was equally absurd.

How is it that the lead dude in Girls is leaving Girls? Isn't HE Girls? It's like saying Annie Clark is leaving St. Vincent.

For a second, I thought this was the TV thread and you were talking about the HBO series, and I got very confused.
But yeah, that is weird. That Chet "JR" White dude had a lot to do with girls. (I always assumed it was like a Bernie Taupin/Elton John situation.) But still, it's not the same band at all without that dude.

Totally, dude. I appreciated it.
They'll forever be the single most difficult band to defend. The process is made only slightly easier by being entirely certain that hardly anyone knows what the fuck they are talking about on the subject.
It's okay. I like having things that are mine.
