For all of us that have been to Sasquatch! before, does anyone have any fond memories to share. Stories of woe are also welcome.

The 2006 Hailstorm has got to be the most memorable experience that I have had at Sasquatch! My wife and I came really prepared with poncho's and warm clothes, but I remember during the thick of it teenage girls running by in only shorts, flip flops and tank tops bloodied from the hail, crying, it was like one of those natural disaster movies. To give you an idea of how crazy it was the hail was the size of marbles some bigger some smaller, it went on for what seemed at least 20 minutes (the longest hailstorm I have ever been in) and the hail came down so hard it ripped a hole in my poncho and the poncho was not made of garbage sack material, but sturdy plastic and it closed down the second and third stages. I know it probably ruined a lot of the Sasquatch! fan's day, but for most of us it brought us together. Once the storm lifted, the skies parted and a amazing rainbow shown we soldiered on. Some went and changed, some slid down the hill on garbage sacks, some of the bands that were scheduled to perform on the second and third stages performed impromptu like Brett Dennan, which I caught and was awesome, also we just missed Common Market playing under the end tent, I heard there were other performances around as well. Finally the mainstage started up and we rocked out to the Tragically Hip, The Shins, Ben Harper and finally the Flaming Lips into the night...... Good times!

I'd say the brutal heat of 05 was worse than the hailstorm for me. 98 degrees all day long - just a total fluke for that time of year. There was nowhere to escape it either. By the time the headliners came on and it finally cooled down, I hardly had the energy to enjoy them.
The best? Probably just being blown away by the Hold Steady last year and Arcade Fire's performance on that hot day in '05.

Marble sized hail eh? What happened to all the cars parked there?

Yeah, I was worried about that, but there wasn't any damage to my car, I don't know about others. The mud was the real problem in the aftermath, some people got stuck. The hail was really that big though, anyone have any pictures to show?

Adding to the theme of fucked up weather, last year's wind storm that threatened to kill all 43 members of The Polyphonic Spree (including us unlucky fans standing in the front row).
It ultimately shut down the main stage for the afternoon.

the heat of 05 was definitely my worst experience. it was my first year and i tried to get some whiskey in the gate. it was in a Dr pepper bottle and they told me to drink it, so i did, and i was fairly intoxicated. i didnt drink enough water, and i passed out for an hour right when kanye west started his set. when i came to, i had the time of my life, but damn... my best experience was probably during the black angels last year. i was going nuts and someone i didnt know came up to the front by me, doing the same. then he smoked me a bowl of hash, the dandys came on, and i was high for most of the night. good times at sasquatch...

I went in 2005 and the highlight was definitely the Arcade Fire. Worst part was the heat, and it seemed hottest while AF was playing. It was like being in heaven and hell all at once.

Worst memory was shivering the evening of the 2006 hailstorm, wondering why I had to sit thru Ben Harper's incredibly long set to hear Flaming Lips. Then missing FL due to hypothermia setting in.
Best memory was Polyphonic Spree's "secret" set on a side stage following the 2007 windstorm shut-down.
...and Bjork. "Raise your flag!"

Best memory was Polyphonic Spree's "secret" set on a side stage following the 2007 windstorm shut-down. I caught The Spree in Chicago, Milwaukee, and New Orleans last year and I talked about how cool that mini show was to many of the members. I think there may be some bad blood between Sasquatch and The Spree, when I talked to Tim about the festival overall, he didn't seem too happy.
