I couldnt possibly disagree more. It was very gimmicky. We have all see rap rock before and as far as I am concerned Crudo is just a limp bizkit cover band.
*prepares for hate*

I am with Tom here. All I heard was a band that sounded like "Methods of Mayhem" continually playing "LET'S GET NAKED!"
So absolutely not my thing.

I might be exhagerating a bit about best, but I had the most fun at their set compared to other great non-headliners including RyG, the hives, battles, franti and others.

They were pretty good, but they're no Taking Back Sunday.

They were pretty good, but they're no Taking Back Sunday. I'm laughing so hard right now.

I obviously missed the birth of this joke; could someone tell me which thread to get caught up on?

It was like eleven threads. At the same time. J.W.W. made a post about Taking Back Sunday in every single thread that he could figure out any possible way to relate Taking Back Sunday to. And just for good measure there were half a dozen posts about Taking Back Sunday that were completely unrelated to anything at all.

What can I say? I like Taking Back Sunday(s) first album.

I think this thread might've been started before all of our times (even know's)

Crudo were without a doubt one of the best experiences I had at Sasquatch. That year anyway! Loved the cover of "Runnin' With the Devil" that opened the set. It was also the closest thing to Faith No More I'll ever see.

Mike Patton was out of control. Yeah, hands down one of the greatest Squatch sets I've seen.

It was great when he serenaded that little girl. Creepy, but still great. Not sure if I'd let my kids get that close to him.

Yeah that was intense. For a minute I was sure there was going to be a fistfight on-stage.

I was sure there was going to be a fight. I loved that set. Butterscotch was really great, too.

I went mostly for Dan the Automator, but obviously Mike Patton was a big draw as well. I was really hoping to hear more from them for a while after Sasquatch but those dreams have since died.

Crudo defintely killed it that year - the blood-splattered aprons were a classy touch - but best non-headliner? I wouldn't go that far. someone should start a best non-mainstage show thread. my vote would be Clap Your Hands Say Yeah in '06. back when the second stage was where the third stage is now (or specifically, where the VIP section for the third stage is) at sunset with Alec's hair catching the glow and looking like it was on fire, playing Satan Says Dance before anyone had ever heard it. so dope.
