Just mailed my mix today. Some lucky Canadian should be getting theirs shortly. No explanation to the tracklisting, but it should be pretty easy to figure out. You've been warned though... Kinda cheesy!
By the way, it only cost $2.27US to ship to Canada! And filling out the customs form to send was rather quick and easy. Just for those that were curious.

Just finished my playlist. Just have to do some artwork (yikes), and send it off. It's going to be down to the wire, exactly how I do everything in my life.

Lo and behold, my birthday present arrived (on my actual birthday) in the form of not one, but TWO mixed cds: Paradoxical opposites, and Opposite paradoxicals. As it is my birthday, I will not have time to delve into them properly today, but tomorrow the great room cleaning begins and will be the perfect opportunity to be aurally pleased. Thank you partner! It appears you put a lot of time into this, and I will repay the favor by putting my own lot of time into listening to them.

Or did we decide to wait until everybody gets there's to post tracklists? (If not, I'll post the one I got as soon as I get the go-ahead.)

I say that when we get our CD we post the tracklist ASAP...I want to see what everyone got! It'll tide us over until our own mixes arrive in the mail.

Alright, works for me!
Time to play "guess who sent me this mix"
1. Freda Payne - "Band of Gold" [Attn mix-maker: Going to attempt to cover this now.] 2. Streetlight Manifesto - "We Will Fall Together" 3. The World/Inferno Friendship Society - "Brother of the Mayor of Bridgewater" 4. Childish Gambino - "Freaks & Geeks" 5. B.O.B. ft. Bruno Mars - "Nothin' on You" 6. The Format - "Dog Problems" 7. Belle & Sebastian - "Piazza, New York Catcher" 8. The Magnetic Fields - "Nothing Matters When We're Dancing" 9. Radiohead - "True Love Waits" 10. Frightened Rabbit - "Swim Until You Can't See Land" 11. Los Campesinos! - "You! Me! Dancing!" 12. Bomb the Music Industry! - "25!" 13. T.I. - "What You Know" 14. Dan Deacon - "Wham City" 15. Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov - "Scherezade, Movement III: The Young Prince and the Young Princess"

It seems like that mix's theme is "obscure." I love the inclusion of "True Love Waits" but question its placement.
My mix is stuck at about 78 minutes right now. I need to shave off about 2 songs which is proving difficult.

1) I think that trying to figure out who made the mixes is going to be a difficult task for sure, given that for the most part we all listen to various styles and genres. At what point do we just come out and say "That's my mix!"?
2) That mix is pretty good looking! I'm not much for rap and hip-hop but that T.I. song is great. That is one interesting Radiohead cut for sure, and as per wolf's comment it does seem out of place.
3) Trying to cut songs from a mix is one of the hardest parts of the process. There is nothing worse than popping the CD in the burner and seeing the message that the mix is too long. I HATE THAT!

In that mix I see a couple of glaring entries that would have made me realize who it was even if I didn't know already, but they're pretty subtle and were only mentioned one or two times. However, if I included the commentary this person wrote with the songs, everyone would probably get it almost instantly.

FUCKKKKKK. Just finished and was coming here to tell yallz. Then I noticed that people were worried about the length of their mix. And i'm all , " well why does that matter??" , then I re-read the opening paragraph. I had totally not read the under 70 minutes criteria. I'm an idiot. Should I redo it, or just leave it, ( keep in mind it's all burnt and packaged. was going to mail it tomorrow) let me know what yallz thinking.

Umm, if it's made then I don't see a problem. But... how is it burnt and playable if it's over 70 minutes? Back in the day of burning music CD's I heard there were ones that could go over 70 minutes but that seemed hard.

I should try burning mine and see what happens. As long as a wormhole to my adolescence doesn't open up and engulf me I'll be fine with the outcome.
@empty: yes, the username jumble is really something. I'm only following suit. "james" is cool, right?
EDIT: I just realized what a username jumble would actually entail and I am NOT for this experiment.

I think lumpy's is my favorite. And if you can fit more than 70 minutes onto a cd, then by all means, do it!
