Me and a friend are planning to fly in on the 26th and fly out the 31st. If anyone is doing the same then we could meet up at the airport and drive there and back together. Splitting a car 3 or 4 ways wouldn't be too expensive.

I'm down for this too! I've been trying to figure out how I want to get there and splitting a rental would be great. I haven't booked anything yet, either so I'm flexible.
Sara - I just read your other post and I'm going to shoot you an e-mail!

Hey,
If anyone else is interested I would be more then happy to split a rental car from Seattle. I have yet to by my plane tickets from New York but will be doing so in the near future for both a friend and myself. Email me at Britcohn@gmail.com

so far no one has been able to definitely tell me they are going so if anyone still wants to do this let me know. Cheapest I can find is 250 for the week (this includes all fees/insurance) so it would end up being about 60 per person.

This thread frustrates me and I don't even need a ride.

Ya know, I'm just now realizing, after reading all these needing ride threads, how completely idiotic it is that Sasquatch hasn't struck some kind of deal with Greyhound involving Greyhounds making stops at the Gorge during Sasquatch. I mean, seriously, it goes to Quincy anyway, and I can't imagine how both parties wouldn't benefit here. Plus, if Sasquatch is as concerned with carbon footprint as it claims to be, you would think it would be ALL ABOUT public transportation.
Am I just missing something here? Can anybody think of a reason why they SHOULDN'T do this?

Best advice: try and see if everyone in your car can get on that shuttle that Sasquatch just started from Seattle to the Gorge. If they can, cancel the rental car reservation.

Actually the rental car I got is $250 for the week (that includes all the fees they tack on) so with 4 people it is essentially the same price as the shuttle, but it is more convenient.
