Hey there. I know how annoying it is when n00bs start new topics that are already answered, so I checked and my situation appears to be unique for this year.
I'm in a band. We were asked by a friend to play an on-campgrounds party, not associated with the official festival, but raging nonetheless. It would be an awesome opportunity for our band and a good time for everyone.
Here's the catch: we needed tickets to the festival to go camping. And tickets are sold out.
So I'm wondering if there's any way for us to get into the campgrounds without going to the festival? Would just buying a single-day pass work? Is there a special pass for just camping? Can just one person in the car have a festival pass and make it work?
any answers would be much appreciated.

The following thread is something of an FAQ that should help you: sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=963The following thread helps girls specifically plan what to bring, or something, I don't really go in there: sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=981Here's some shit about shoes: sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1160I've never bothered to use the showers before, so perhaps some other board members can help you out in that department. In the future, although you technically did ask camping-related questions, your best bet is to go to that first FAQ thread I posted up there, because that forum seems to get more traffic/attention. Additionally, this guy is your friend:

Oh, and OP: There's an easy solution here. Just park in the free parking lot, and carry your equipment to the campground. Security will have no questions for you at all.

Man, carrying equipment that far? That sounds awful.
The free showers are pretty awful. Mostly cold. And they are bad at marking which one is women's and which one is men's (accidetally saw a nekkid laydee my first year!)
This past year (I'm assuming they'll do it again), there's nice, hot showers in some trailer that I think you pay like $3 for (I didn't do it, but one of the people I was with did.) If I'm wrong somebody let me know, but I'm pretty sure that's how it worked.

"The Pivot" is here to stay. Pea's link to www.gorgecamping.com gives all of this info. To answer the OP, if you get single day passes you would be ok for the night before you have tickets for, and the night of the show. Your campground band camp party will get shut down though. Eventually. Good luck. ;D

That's what I was hoping for, although the camping rules say otherwise: "You will not be allowed to access the campgrounds unless you have your Sasquatch Festival ticket." www.gorgecamping.com/SASQUATCH-2011.html I've been thinking of maybe getting a festival pass myself and bringing the other band members in with me. I guess it's anyone's guess how well they'll be checking people for tickets. To answer the OP, if you get single day passes you would be ok for the night before you have tickets for, and the night of the show. Your campground band camp party will get shut down though. Eventually. Good luck. ;D Apparently it's some big deal involving multiple school buses and a bunch of DJs, although I'm assuming we'll be done playing by 1am. Do they come collect you, then, after the day you've paid for?

Oh, there's a solution for that, too. Pull up MS Paint, make yourself an "ALL-ACCESS PASS" with your band name, a small professional photo of yourself, and "SECURITY LEVEL: 5" on it, and you should walk right by without questions.
EDIT: And for god's sake, don't forget to laminate that baby.

And finally, act like you own the joint. You can go just about anywhere if you just act like you know what you are doing.
Watch the movie, "Fletch" and "Fletch Lives". They will tell you all you need to know.

Can just one person in the car have a festival pass and make it work? any answers would be much appreciated. Wow, that situation does sound unique! Not in any way similar to these situations: so, its per person this year? So I looked at all the sites and blogs that should have had this info but I couldn't find it. Will a one day ticket be enough for each person in my huge group to camp the whole weekend? So my friends and I have been slightly confused on camping, this being our first year going to Sasquatch and all. We plan on getting single day passes, most likely for Sunday and Monday. What days can we use the campsite? Are we allowed to come Saturday and set up then or do we only get it for the nights we hold the tickets to? Me and my friends would like to do the same thing. Is there any way to get concrete information on this? We would love to show up Saturday, camp, go Sunday, camp, go Monday, camp, and leave Tuesday. Will two single day tickets cover this, do the single day tickets include any camping??? I really don't want to end up lost in the middle of Washington with no where to sleep (plus I want to get in on the camping experience along with the festival). you do need some sort of ticket( either day pass or 4 day pass) to get in camping though right? people cant just come camp? or camp and try to buy tickets outside of the stage gate? i know last year people were selling day tickets all up and down the walkway to the entrance. stupid friends didnt get tickets. this seemed to sell out fast for this lineup. Gosh, I wish someone would answer these questions: They aren't going to start selling individual camping passes and then release some by-car ones later. I'm actually on board with camping per person, it'll save money if you get in a situation like I was last year---six people in two cars, so we had to get a second camping pass and I ended up paying for half it with one other guy. We don't want the extra 5000 people coming to hang out in the campground just to party. It causes overcrowding as well as health and safety issues. There are no camping passes, there are festival passes, which means you are paying for YOUR OWN ability to camp. If you have one person buy the 'discount pack' to get camping, then that one person is going to have access to the campground and you're not going to have anywhere to go when the show is over. The camping situation is perfectly clear, it's just different and people can't seem to wrap their heads around it. Lastly, this is a large-scale music festival and it is growing in popularity as well as in scope. Anticipate the price continuting to rise, every year. Anticipate them finding every way to get money out of you they possibly can. Anticipate taking it up the ass like a champ, or anticipate making other plans for Memorial Day Weekend, but please god please let the bitching about the camping passes end. This pretty much sums it up. Seriously, people: know what you're talking about. The camping details are written in (good enough) English on many websites (http://www.gorgecamping.com/, www.sasquatchfestival.com/#/gorge/camping) so just take a few minutes and read them. You might find answers to many of your questions. The wording is a little ambiguous at times, but the information is decipherable. Then again, we are overlooking the point Peatrick made above. This year, you can't camp without a ticket to the festival. Last year they had to fit 35,000 campers in a camp site made for 20,000. It's no wonder they crammed everyone in. This year, they should give much more space. I just want to update on my official response from info.sasquatch. A detailed response of, "yes." Camping Saturday night with a Sunday and Monday pass wont be an issue. Yes. In order to camp you must have a camping pass, and in order to have a camping pass you must have a festival ticket. This is what they are saying, anyway. What it tells me, though, is that if you show up with out a ticket you are taking a risk. I'll also say that, if you don't have a ticket, you have better odds showing up with a car full of people who do have tickets than ones that don't. For anyone interested in taking advantage of the normal "buy a ticket near the entrance" thing, I think that phenomenon will be drastically reduced this year by the introduction of wristbands. It will still exist but it will be different. Damn, this is so confusing! I wish someone would be more concise: THERE ARE NO CAMPING PASSES. BUYING FESTIVAL TICKETS GRANTS YOU ACCESS TO THE CAMPGROUND. YOU CAN NOT BUY CAMPING PASSES INDIVIDUALLY. YOU CAN NOT CAMP IF YOU ARE NOT ATTENDING THE FESTIVAL. YOU CAN NOT SPLIT THE PRICE OF CAMPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE. CAMPING IS BEING CHARGED ON AN INDIVIDUAL AND FAIR BASIS. And you're certainly not going to teach anyone a lesson by not buying a 'discount pack'. If ANYONE else has ANY more questions regarding this, please shove them up your ass because all of the answers are right there.

When I was in high school band, there were pieces that were graded from I-VI in the symphonic band catalogue. Then there were a few pieces in a level called VI-M classified as "Master Works" that went above and beyond Grade VI material.
This is a VI-M Masterwork.

Thanks for all of the information, although the way in which you presented it (in a sarcastic tone that, without the body language or voice inflections of real-life sarcasm, loses all subtlety) seemed to me to be belittling. I haven't been on this board long enough, and have thus not had as much exposure to what I'm sure to you are inane, repetitive questions, so I appreciate the cornucopia of knowledge you have thrust upon me. I would not consider it a masterwork, as few artists are able to attain such levels of explosive creativity. It was very helpful though. Will anyone be in the campground for this? With campers needing a festival ticket, wouldn't you expect them to be in the festival until 1 am? No idea. Apparently they've done it in the past with great success, so maybe all the people with different days' passes will go or something. Honestly, if you were offered the chance to "play sasquatch," would you care?

Its a seniority thing. Don't sweat it. Keep posting if you're interested in Sasquatch related, and sometimes non-sasquatch related topics. Keep it intelligent and you'll be good to go. Its like an initiation--There are some veteran posters on here who won't even speak to you before you've got your post count to 200. I had to go through it. We all have. Just watch out for the talking grandma. She's a doozy.

Perhaps an exaggeration. But slightly true in some cases, depending on the boarder.
