No, I just think people should appreciate what a great thing the Vera Project is. Maybe you never got to benefit from it, Pea, but a lot of people did -- and once those people turn 21, they should continue to support what is a legitimately great venue.
Also I have no idea what "all-agesy" means. Like, there are too many children there? Or ... you think bands get up on stage and talk about Twitter? I have no idea.

I like it because there's usually not much of a crowd in general. At least the shows that I've seen there. I'm pretty much always able to get up on the stage if I want to. Hell, last time I got to sit on a bench right next to the stage and see my favorite guitarist work his shit.

Whoa whoa now I never implied most of the assumptions you called me out on. I benefited greatly from an all-ages venue in Tacoma when I was growing up. Hell, some of the best times of my teenage years were spent there rockin out there to MXPX and Instant Winner. The difference now is, a venue like that no longer appeals to me. It just doesn't. I enjoy having the option to drink when I go to shows and I also happen to enjoy the company of people over the age of 21 a lot more than underagers. That said, I have heard nothing but great things about the Vera but simply haven't found myself interested enough to check it out yet.

Fair enough. Sorry for strawmanning you, but in my defense, "all-agesy" didn't give me a lot to work with.

Did anyone else find this exchange amusing?
Souly: I don't know who Radiohead is, I only know Muse. I'm just now starting to get into other music. Noob: Anyone know anything about Tokyo Police Club? Souly: THEY ARE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!! Noob: Okay, I bought a ticket based on your recommendation. Thanx.

I refrain from discussing anything Tokio whatever the fuck their name is based on how much they sounded like a 2001 teenage emo band from the 2 or so songs I tried listening to.

Yeah... I've never listened to them, but I've seen them, and that's the idea I would get too.

And I'd also never spell favourite that way.

Wait, are you thinking of Tokio Hotel? Nope, definitely thinking of these guys. I hear no difference between this and the "Something Corporate" generation of bands.

I honestly have not listened to anything in depth other than their first EP, a lesson in crime, and I see much more Strokes than Something corporate in this.

I saw TPC when they played Sasquatch a few years ago and only had that one EP out. Needless to say, they ran out of songs to play pretty quickly, but while they were on stage they were a lot of fun. I've seen them at least once since then and again they out on a really fun show. Elephant Shell is half decent, but I haven't heard their new album. They won't blow your mind if you see them this year, but you'll at least be bobbing your head.
A friend of mine went out with their keyboardist for a short while. Before you ask, no, it did not get my dick sucked a lot. It may have gotten his, though.
