And this post will most certainly gain the ire of HG but Switch I would also recommend the album "I'm Wide Awake and It's Morning" as an easy starting point for newcomers of WKD.

I totally agree, but being the music lover that I am, and seasoned Bright Eyes listener, I didn't want to just recommend the album that most people have probably heard of. I wanted to suggest some lesser known songs.

I'm pretty excited to see Villagers too. I think this is great song plus the video is pretty neat too.

Anyone listen to Tokyo Police Club's new album? Also, has anyone seen them live? They have a concert in Seattle that I'm considering, but I want to know what people think of them live.

Tokyo Police Club are definitely one of my favourite bands. They are really fun live, and sound fantastic. There isn't one song on their new album that I'm not in love with. Please go!! You won't regret it! I'm seeing them here on April 18th.

They were the first band that I saw at a festival, and they blew me away. I had never listened to them before, and they didn't have very much material released, but it was awesome. I'd recommend it. When is the show?

You won't regret it! I'm seeing them here on April 18th. I'm definitely going now. I haven't listened to their old stuff, but I've been loving everything on Champ so far. Thanks for convincing me! They were the first band that I saw at a festival, and they blew me away. I had never listened to them before, and they didn't have very much material released, but it was awesome. I'd recommend it. When is the show? Well I got tickets, I'm pretty excited now. It's on April 22nd, at Showbox at the Market.

How much is it? I might try and go to that. Deceptively cheap. Tickets are listed at $16, but after Ticketmaster's fees, about $28? I think that's around the price, I bought three so I'm not positive.

If any of you are within reasonable driving distance of the Showbox Sodo, their box office only charges about $2 per ticket if you buy them there. Saved me almost $40 in fees last time I bought a bundle of tickets.

Owing to my lack of car and license, everything is outside of reasonable driving distance. My most frequented venue is the Vera, however, so I usually don't get tix for other shows.

Never been to the Vera, too all-agesy for me.

Well the only band I ever go see live is Tera Melos, and they only play there, so every other venue is too un-Tera Melos-y for me.
Except I have to go to Sodo to see Coheed. whoops.
