Hello! I may or may not attend Sasquatch this year, pending some deliberations with my entourage this afternoon. However, I would like to take this time to publicly divide up the Sasquatch! announced line-up bands for my own benefit and yours as well. You may attempt to do this, however, I expect you to be all "well here are the bands I like!!!" and that's not what this is about. This is about EVERY band.
"Ohmygod YES. SECOND YES. THIRD YES. FOURTH YES. FIFTH YES. LET'S GO NOW!" The Antlers, Sleigh Bells
"Sure, yeah, that'll be fun!" Foo Fighters, Major Lazer, Matt & Kim, Reggie Watts
"Oh, those guys again. Cool." Cold War Kids, Death Cab for Cutie, The Decemberists, The Flaming Lips, Local Natives, Modest Mouse, Rodrigo Y Gabriela
"Not sure how I wound up with this album. I never listen to it." !!!, Against Me!, Wilco
"Haha, yeah, love that song. They have others?" Aloe Blacc, Axis of Awesome, Beach House, Best Coast, Bright Eyes, Chromeo, Das Racist, Deerhunter, The Drums, Flogging Molly, Flying Lotus, Guided by Voices, Iron & Wine, Ratatat, Robyn, Sharon Van Etten, Washed Out, Yeasayer
"I swear I've seen that name before..." Archers of Loaf, Bassnectar, The Bronx, City and Colour, Jenny & Johnny, MSTRKRFT, S. Carey, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Smith Westerns, Surfer Blood, The Thermals, Tig Notoro, Tokyo Police Club, Twin Shadow, Wolf Parade, Wye Oak
"Are they the band with the xylophone? No, that's someone else? Then no, I haven't." Alberta Cross, CSS, Foster the People, Gayngs, K-Os, Noah & The Whale, Old 97's, Pepper Rabbit, Pink Martini, The Radio Dept., Skrillex, Trailer Park Boys
"Hopefully they'll be on at noon and I can sleep in." Basia Bulat, Black Mountian, Bonobo, Cotton Jones, Dan Mangan, Fitz & The Tantrums, The Globes, Gold Panda, Jaill, Other Lives, Rebecca Gates and The Consortium, Rival Schools, Sam Roberts Band, Secret Sisters, Stornoway, Talkdemonic, Tim Minchin, Villagers, White Arrows, White Denim, The Young Evils, Young the Giant
Conclusion: Probably not!

NJ, your "Haha, yeah, love that song. They have others?" list is fucking amazing. You need to do some fucking research, brah. Yeah, I guess I'm what the kids call "musically illiterate." Because I wanted to do this anyway, here are the songs: Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar Axis of Awesome - Four Chords Song, Birdplane Beach House - Norway Best Coast - When I'm With You, Crazy for You, Girlfriend Bright Eyes - I'm not sure which one I'm talking about Chromeo - In The Dark? Is that what it's called? The MTVU one. Das Racist - hahahahahhajk pizza hut taco bell w00t Deerhunter - Helicopter, I guess The Drums - Let's Go Surfing, Forever and Ever Amen Flogging Molly - AND WE FIND AWRSEVS IN THE SAME OL MISS Flying Lotus - the radiohead one Guided by Voices - I have Alien Lanes, so this could go in the next tier, but the only song I can ever remember is Game of Pricks Iron & Wine - Naked as We Came, Boy With A Coin Ratatat - Again, I have Classics, but what is there besides Lex? They're all just different versions of Lex. Like Burial's Untrue is just different versions of Archangel. Robyn - The one about dancing Sharon Van Etten - Not entirely sure which one I'm thinking of either Washed Out - Feel it All Around Yeasayer - Ambling Alp

The Flaming Lips belong in the 'OMG YES' category; such a euphoric experience everytime I've seen them. And... you REALLY need to check out Black Mountain. Start with the album In The Future.
MSTRKRFT and Flying Lotus would be as fun, if not more, than Major Lazer, so investigate them as well if you're open to other EDM. FlyLo, however, is more like seeing beyond infinity than dancing.

How is it so common people don't know the old 97's? Question is one of the most sappy love songs out there and time bomb was in that movie trailer with that Cera kid.

Entertaining thread. Because of it, I'm going to check out that Black Mountain album as well. I think I'm in the same boat with some of these bands.

I believe Alberta Cross should be under a new heading:
"Bands that will leave you soaking in your little indie panties, and leave you uncomfortable for the rest of the evening."

Here's mine:
Got me so excited that my dick is spasming: Modest Mouse, Death From Above 1979, The Flaming Lips, Wolf Parade, Yeasayer, Deerhunter, Local Natives, Wilco
I dig these bands and will definitely be watching barring there are no conflicts with the above: Beach House, Best Coast, Guided by Voices, Surfer Blood, Iron & Wine, Washed Out, Bassnectar, Death Cab for Cutie, Tim Minchin, Sharon Van Etten, Das Racist
I have been recommended these bands through various channels and will be giving them a listen before the festival in order to properly categorize: Black Mountain, Archers of Loaf, Smith Westerns, Flying Lotus, J. Mascis, Ratatat, White Denim, Dan Mangan, The Antlers, !!!, Mad Rad, The Drums, Foster the People, Major Lazer
I have listened to these bands and they didn't get my dick sucked a lot, but I am willing to give them another chance: Sleigh Bells, The Thermals, Tokyo Police Club, Chromeo, MSTRKRFT
In my wayward youthful days, I really dug these bands and may watch them if there's nothing else going on: Flogging Molly, Against Me!, Foo Fighters, k-os, Trailer Park Boys, The Bronx
These guys are on? Now would be a great time to go take a shit: The Decemberists, Bright Eyes, Cold War Kids, Matt & Kim, City & Colour, Sam Roberts Band
Who...? (i.e. recommend any of these for me to check out): Robyn, Pink Martini, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Old 97s, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Skrillex, Fitz and the Tanrums, CSS, Bonobo, Jenny & Johnny, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Head & The Heart, Bonobo (DJ set), Reggie Watts, Gayngs, The Radio Dept, Young The Giant, Villagers, Stornoway, Aloe Black, Rival Schools, Moondoggies, Noah & The Whale, Secret Sisters, Twin Shadow, Wye Oak, Tig Notaro, Wheedle's Groove, Albert Cross, S. Carey, Gold Panda, Axis of Awesome, The Globes, Cotton Jones, Jaill, Basia Bulat, Other Lives, Rebecca Gates and the Consortium, White Arrows, Pepper Rabbit, Talkdemonic, The Young Evils, Head Like a Kite

Who...? (i.e. recommend any of these for me to check out): a lot of that stuff is pretty good but these are the ones I'd definitely check out Rodrigo Y Gabriela - you don't need to listen to them beforehand, just go see them. The band instrumental and is comprised of two Incredible guitar players. Last time they were at sasquatch there was a pretty amazing crowd singalong to wish you were here at one point. The Head & The Heart - Probably the biggest upcoming band in Seattle. Expect there to be a huge hubbub when sub pop releases their new album Gayngs - Collection of like 25 musicians from the Minneapolis area. Part of that whole movement to reclaim cheesy rock music (see: destroyers new album) but also pretty great. Hopefully I'm seeing them in a couple weeks and can tell you how they are live The Radio Dept - Great swedish dream pop band. I'm seeing them tonight so I'll know how they are live soon. They've been together for like a decade but are just now embarking on their first US tour. The album clinging to a scheme is one of the bests of last year S. Carey - member of bon iver, released a pretty good but really mellow album last year. Not sure how it'll translate at sasquatch but his album is worth listening to

That was great man, thanks!
So good I watched it twice.
EDIT: Damn, just noticed he's likely up against Beach House. That'll be a tough choice. I'll definitely give Reggie a chance to win me over though.
