When does Outside Lands' lineup get released? I'm thinking of doing another festival this year, and it's the best for timing, ie: not still broke from Sasquatch, not yet broke from Rifflandia. Come to ACL!

Also, Stamper, if you're interested there is a festival in Houston in June called the Free Press Summer Fest. I will probably be going to that as well. Last years lineup was pretty decent: fpsf.com/learn.php#lineup

I consider it every year, because I can basically walk to it, but this festival is directed at a very specific crowd, and I am not a folkster. The price has always deterred me. It is more expensive per day than Sasquatch, yet the headliners almost never crack the top 10 billed acts at Sasquatch. Pickathon is a yuppie festival. It is the most overpriced festival I have ever considered going to. They price it high so the yuppies in their 2013 Subaru Outbacks don't have to camp with a bunch of ruffians.

I basically gave up on Bonnaroo just because ACL is more my speed, and bar hoping in Austin with Hit The Switch is too tempting. Are we doing hookers and blow this year, or is the wife coming? Dude, are you coming down for ACL? Or are you talking about the Fun Fun Fun Fest? Either way, I look forward to bar hopping with you! Hookers and blow! Are you talking about ACL the festival, or ACL the TV show? Yes, I'm talking about the festival. I don't think I'll do Fun Fun Fun Fest again. I went to ACL in 2008 when Dave Matthews Band and Pearl Jam headlined. That was the year C3 spent seven f.igures filling Zikler Park with plush grass, then it rained the entire festival and the park ended up a giant mud pit. Hopefully it recovered, because that grass sure was nice. An October festival makes a lot more sense for me over Bonnaroo. It takes me so long to get caught up when I take a week off work, if I did Bonnaroo after Sasquatch, it would probably ruin the rest of my summer.

My apartment is about a 45-minute walk to where they have the festival. So there's that.
Yup. I'm going.

Awesome! ACL with Wonk and Stamper. Hey Wonk-a-tron did you buy your tickets yet? I will plan on buying tickets to the 2nd weekend so I can hassle Stamper the whole time. Unless you already bought tickets to the 1st weekend?
Edit: I guess tickets aren't on sale yet unless you happened to be on the mailing list prior to October 22nd last year.

That's pretty amazing for $67. Iggy alone is worth it. Even though I like the Postal Service I still can't believe how high they are billed on festival lineups. I saw video from way back when and they did not look that great to watch. I hope they've stepped their game up.
