Switch, my unsolicited advice would be (if a Conor inspired tattoo is a must) to take some of your personal Bright Eyes insipred ideas (everything from images, words, song titles, lyrics) to your tattoo artist and maybe try and have them interpret a design from them. If you are going to a good tattoo place most any of the artists should be able to come up with something that will be both original in design and represent the spirit of the tattoo for yourself Constructive criticism, I can hadle that. I totally understand what you are saying. I just really like the artwork of that poster image. Hell, there is always room for another Bright Eyes inspired tattoo somewhere else though. I think I need a sasquatch somewhere too. |

1.) Getting a tattoo isn't the same thing as getting married, and advice against it comes from a completely different place than advice against a tattoo.
2.) It is NOT fucked up to tell a person that the tattoo they are going to get is a mistake. That is something that all friends should do, like 'Uh dude, you should really think about that for a minute.' It really has nothing to do with the fact that it is WKD, and everything to do with tattooing a face on yourself. You can get offended about it if you want, but really what I WOULD say if I didn't give a shit about you would be "Haha, yeah dude, do it, knock yourself out."

Its cool, I get offended easily and get carried away with my posts sometimes. Lets just not mention this tattoo ever again. I understand that you just want to give me advice but in the end I think I disagree and don't think that this particular face, being that it incorporates a killer use of patterns, will become a regret to me. Moving on.

haha, I won a free tattoo at a punk rock bingo the other night....I don't know if I want my first tattoo experience to be at a shop that gives away tattoos in bar contests.

Just sent the artist my design. I'm making this shit happen! It's been over 5 years since I got my first tattoo, and I've been finding myself more and more eager to finally get another one. My gnarly tax return pretty much sealed the deal, so hopefully I'll be getting some new ink within the next week!

Thanks! I freakin love that beast. The funny thing is, I always just saw him as a gargoyle and nothing really more. It wasn't until another tattoo artist walked up and asked, "Is that Satan with a fucking beer in his hand??" that I realized my design really is pretty damn evil haha.
