I game only on my PC. I just bought a new rig that crushes games on their highest settings. Funny thing is since buying it I've kinda got out of gaming for the time being, but I know I'll get back into it eventually. It comes in waves for me. Steam is having one of their seasonal sales right now. Some pretty sweet daily deals to check out! store.steampowered.com/ Add me on Steam! Geno098 And for those who suck and haven't played Portal 2 yet, it's 10 fucking dollars right now. GET IT!

Probably a good time to say I've been avoiding buying a PS3 for a couple years now, but I'm slowing caving in. It was nice knowing all of you.

I have never been able to stand more than 30 minutes of MGS. I just fucking hate it for some reason.

I'm guessing those are first person shooter type games? I would buy the PS3 more for the sports games and rock band/guitar hero. I've always avoided the games that take you 630 hours to "beat." When I was a pre-teen, I would spend literally weeks doing nothing else until I beat a game, back in the Sonic the Hedgehog days.

Most FPS's are fairly short in terms of story (Maybe 10 hours at the most?). The real time suckers are the Skyrim's and Fallout's of the world.

Naw, Metal Gear Solid games are more in the "stealth action" category.

Downloading Skyrim, I've already pooped a little in anticipation.
As far as my rig goes:
21.5" HDMI monitor 320gb hard drive (almost filled up, girlfriend has been informed that a newegg.com giftcard would be a great Christmas/birthday present) nVidia GTX 560 ti (1gb) 4gb of ram Cooler Master Storm Scout case AMD Athlon II X3 435 Rana
It was a lot more sweet when I built it a year or two ago but it still can run most games on the highest settings.

Geno, I tried to add you on Steam but couldn't find you? I typed "Geno098" into the player search but nothing came up. I've never added anyone before, so I could be doing it wrong.
I ended up buying The Witcher (the first one) and Fallout: New Vegas in the most recent sale. Had never played either, so I'd like to beat them before moving on to the next in each series. I think together they set me back like $8. When I finally get around to buying Skyrim it will be the end of me.
I'm so mad I missed the boat on that Newegg deal. I slept in that day and by the time I saw the e-mail it had already sold out. I had even heard it was coming! Drat!
My rig:
ASUS P8P67 PRO Motherboard Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.40GHz (quad core) 8GB DDR3 RAM XFX Radeon HD 6990 (4GB) 90GB SSD (primary) 1TB + 2TB HDDs (secondary + tertiary) Windows 7 - 64 bit 22" Samsung SyncMaster LCD Display Razer keyboard and mouse
Bought it lightly used from a stoner on Craigslist back in September. He had it build in April for $3000 at NCIX. I got it from him for less than half of that.

Wolfhat do you ever have issues with the ati drivers? When I originally built my rig, I had a radeon 5770 but had countless issues with it and the drivers so after a year I finally went back to NVIDIA and have yet to look back

When I originally built my rig, I had a radeon 5770 but had countless issues with it and the drivers so after a year I finally went back to NVIDIA and have yet to look back I have not, but like I say I've only had it for a few months and haven't really tested it properly yet. I've only played a few games on it, and those games have been at least a couple years old. The ones I have played have been on max settings and I haven't encountered any errors, though.

I've slowed down the pace quite a bit. I'm at about 25 hrs.
Without spoilers, it's pretty well-paced - everytime I get a little bit bored there's a pretty significant plot development. Also, I think I figured out at least a bit of how it's going to end based completely on what one of the secondary characters looks like.
Also, it's difficult, but not super-difficult. In Twilight Princess, I figured out the best way to fight pretty fast (roll a lot), and that makes you virtually unbeatable. Because of the 1-to-1 wii remote ratio, you just have to be good at fighting, no shortcuts available. Some of the puzzles are really hard too.
And of course it's beautiful and gives me chills constantly, and all that other Zelda stuff.
