new phantogram - when I'm small video from sasquatch. you gotta watch it.... she seems a little off tune on a few notes, but when the video hits 2 minutes, she goes completely crazy and I love it.

yeah, I agree those are two really good songs. In fact, I like the new album better than the old ones. I just can't tell you how many times I've went somewhere, or gone with a ride with someone in a car, or gone to a party or something and MGMT is playing. It's just got to a point where - I still appreciate their existence, but I'm just taking a little break to lower my MGMT tolerance. It's like hootie and the blowfish, its really charming and all, but it really just got overplayed.

I'm sorry, I loved them at sasquatch. and congratulations was pretty good, not great. I'm just plain tired of the band is what I mean.... you can only hear youth so many times until you almost come to despise it. I am sorry....

if you didn't see this coming, you should have.
*cues mgmt's the youth*.....the youth is starting to change, are you starting to change? are you? together together together!
how heartwarming. It's funny cause I use to love mgmt in 2008, but now they kinda blow..

I was two weeks away from graduating high school at that years Sasquatch. I can honestly say that the time i spent drunk, holding my backpack above my head trying to not get drilled in the face with hail whilst awaiting my first flaming lips show is one of my the best times Ive ever had. I feel the exact same way about the monday from 2008, waiting to see the lips before my graduation. My friend and I got up at about 8 or so, dragged ourselves out of bed to get in line for the day. We were probably the first ones down there. once the gates opened, and all the early pass people got in, we were probably the first people to nab our spots on the rail at about 1130ish (we were just crazy highschoolers lookn for a thrill). The sun was beating down, and I had brought maybe a 12 oz bottle of water, a chocolately fungii treat, and several pinner joints. Somehow I survived that day... not sure how... I ate my fungus and was pretty much peaking/freaking out during the mars volta just praying for it to end. The only reason I was able to stand up for 13 hours, was because I was literally leaning on the people around me haha. we were able to muster up our last bit of strength from the weekend to let out a few really loud "WHOOOOS", but those whoos came from the soul. My ego literally dissolved that day, and I can't explain how exhausted I was from standing almost non-stop from probably noon til midnight. good times good times. a month before my 18th birthday, and maybe a week before graduation. It was my second real festival experience, I had seen download fest at the gorge just after I turned 17. Little did I know, that night would change my life forever.

yeah, good guesses. we have to somehow make this consistent so we can actually score it at the end. I checked napoleon skywalker out, they seem pretty funky.

I don't think I'm ready to make my guesses yet either. but just whenever you feel ready let em rip.

All right, so I just got off work driving pizzas all night, and I was thinking it would be cool to have sort of a friendly competition to see who can guess the closest lineup. nothing to do with days, or times, just whoever guesses the most people who actually show up. remember... its not who you like and who you want to be there, it's who will might be showing up whether you like them to or not. I'm thinking we could just throw out maybe 40 different names, because it's pretty obvious we're not going to be able to guess all those uber-obscure twinshadowesque bands. who wants to give it a shot? It's kinda lame cause we have to wait multiple months before the lineup comes out, but we can revive the thread later to see whose the ultimate badass.

yeah the roots and big boi seem like kind of a longshot.
on the other hand, common market, blue scholars, and grynch. I give it an 85% chance that at least one of those shows up on the bill. I say that because sasquatch always represents at least one seattle hiphop group every year: 2008 had blue scholars, 2009 had dyme def, and 2010 had shabazz palaces and I saw all three. I would be happy to see any of them, but blue scholars are on a whole other level, I really hope they come.

ok ok. let me rephrase that... I haven't been ABLE to see modest mouse in the area since 2008. I remember when they played that spokane show, I was so bummed.

I just don't see ben folds happening. I'm not particularly fond of him, ever since I saw him refuse to play an encore, and never played bitches ain't shit, maybe because he wasn't allowed to, but he still should have played an encore! Honestly, that's the first and last time I've ever seen that happen.

I could really see that happening. I hope mimicking birds, and modest mouse both make an appearance. modest mouse hasn't been around the area since 2008, and like you said the mimicking birds just hit it big with the festival circuit. in fact, I'm just gonna go ahead and throw a completely random prediction out there.... I give sasquatch a 90 percent chance of putting both of them on the bill. Thats right... you heard it. spread the news
