My predictions for the FunkyTown Express stage: Arcade Fire, Radiohead (may be a stretch but fingers crossed), Neil Young and an acoustic Biffy Clyro set.

Still have to decide on some early conflicts. Alberta Cross vs. SRO vs. Pepper Rabbit, Local Natives vs. Aloe Blacc, Catch part of Pink martini vs part of the Antler vs part of Wye Oak.
Hmmm now that I look at it Saturday is the only day with issues still to be decided.

Dag. I had not thought of flagpoles. How hard is it to find your tent at the general camping? I was at Wildhorse last year so it was pretty easy. Depends on if your tent is staked down. That much I do know. I think I may get over stake zealous.

I will admit ignorance here. Where do you buy factory sealed caps? I must admit I was going to try the water method. Not so much as a high school rebel but as someone to cheap to spend 12 bucks on a beer.

Ok thanks for the tips. I will make sure to make notes and small digram. Don't fully trust myself after sun and drinks.

Went to the camping store and got stuck between a cot and a inflatable matress. Still have to decide. After going the thermarest route last year I'm going to be comfortable this year dammit.

I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning is the only Bright Eyes album I can stand. My favorite is Lifted but that is a good one too.

Is that new? I'm sure I brought in a bunch of factory sealed water last year. Might be easier if you can bring full non-sealed waters. Just mix a couple bottles of vodka with some legit ones.

Do you like pinball? Beer? If yes we have tons of that. We also have some amazing parks. What kind of things do you like to do? I do like both of those things. Especially beer. Last time I was there I was in a rush so did not see much. Caught a Surfer Blood show, had some really good Thai and bought a crap load of cds at Everyday Records. The only plan I have this time is maybe checking out the Damon & Naomi show and buying a crap load more cds. Anywhere that is unique or interesting would be great.

I might have to miss most of Wolf Parade for Trailer Park Boys. I am really bummed for this conflict. I have watched every episode more times than I am comfortable saying. That being said I am a bit of a Spencer Krug fanboy and this will be my last chance to see them live.

That was taken last weekend at the Portland Prom, at the Mt. Tabor Theater over on Hawthorne. I'm going to Portland for a few days after Sasquatch. Anything or anywhere I should check out Grandma?

Looks like it will be the 2nd to last Wolf Parade show. They have announced that the show on the 30th in Vancouver will be their last.

I really don't want to start loosening up the definition. What I'd really like is some Ohneotrix or some Fuck Buttons or some motherfucking Residents up in. Speaking of Fuck Buttons I wish they would tour with Caribou every year. Damn that was a good show.

There are a few bands that I would say have done some experimental stuff. Caribou, The Dirty Projectors and Battles come to mind. I may be thinking of the word experimental completely differently though.

Wayne's neediness for love is completely over the top these days. WAY over the top. It was at the point where I actually felt embarrassment for him, watching him. It would hold the show up for five minutes at a time. We saw them here in Portland right before Embryonic came out; in spite of a good set list a lot of the more road-worn oldies were starting to sound a little tired and Wayne's burgeoning diva behavior left me feeling a little cold. They did play "Bad Days" and "Unconsciously Screamin" (!!!!!), but if I never hear that dirge-like lullaby version of "Yoshimi pt. 1" again I'd die happy. Ridiculously indulgent. My girlfriend at one point during the show asked why he has such low self esteem. Maybe at the start everyone can just yell "We love you Wayne" and he will not feel the need to ask between every song.

I see the Lips at least every eighteen months or so, but I haven't heard them play "The Gash" in almost ten years; some of those songs never. This isn't going to be same ol' same ol'. Amen. I have only seen them play "Waiting for Superman" and "Race for the Prize". This should be amazing. Also I'm guessing I was at the same show Abominable was at the second Malkin Bowl show. I had a great time but something was a bit off that night. Also Wayne seemed a little too needy for love that show. I much preferred the first time they played that venue.
