Worst conflicts: Guided by Voices vs The Scott Aukerman & Paul F. Tompkins Show This is the reason I'm almost glad I'm not going this year. I'd hate to have to make this decision. #1 and #2 on my list. They did this to me last year with Pavement and Dirty Projectors. Just no fair. That was my biggest conflicts last year too. I think I will end up doing Guided by Voices. I know Paul F. Tompkins will play Vancouver at some point but who knows when I will get the chance to see Guided by Voices. Also conflict that didn't happen that brings a tear to my eye: Flaming Lips vs. Archers of Loaf.

For three years in a row my friends and I did the same thing but they caught on last year so I don't see a problem sharing it. We used to empty out a pringles can and then stick water bottles full of booze inside them. Throw a few pringles on top and then close it with the paper seal still on top so it looks unopened. I don't know what happened but last year we only got about half of it in so we're not going to be doing that anymore. Were you camping at Wildhorse last year?

I don't get the one band on Yeti stage. There isn't a band playing on the mainstage at the same time. Either there will be adds or I am stumped.

Also I can't see where DJ etc is playing a forth day. That would be exciting as it would suggest banana shack would be open Friday. DJ Anchovies confirmed it him/herself on the FB page. Well that is a good sign. Not a huge stretch to say they will be playing the ten and that comedians and/or dance bands will be added.

I was wondering how they were going to handle that. Their last album was all in the latin style and sounds nothing like their old stuff. I have only listened to it a couple times but it was interesting enough to give another listen.
Also I can't see where DJ etc is playing a forth day. That would be exciting as it would suggest banana shack would be open Friday.

Switch, what is your opinion on the Devil Town cover? Do you like it beyond the fact that you say they should have added something soft and simple? Do you think he should have added anything? I personally feel like the whole feeling and point of that song are really lost because of it. Incidentally, I was into a fewSaddle Creek bands like nine or ten years ago, but it never really carried very far. I saw Cursive and they were pretty good, but I guess I only really liked a handful of their songs. I really like the song Sierra. I met Kind of Like Spitting and they were pretty cool dudes. Not really about Bright Eyes per se, but I see all of those SC bands in a group together in my brain. Did Kind of Like Spitting put stuff out on Saddle Creek? I should check that out.

Pavement fucking sucked last year. I don't even want to go over this again, but I will if necessary. No need. HG: They were sloppy, sounded like crap, and put on a terrible show. Pavement fans: I loved it! There, we've gone over it again. Well put.

Oh, I have no disdain for Bob Mould... it's just not my thing. I appreciate what he's done for music. Fair enough. that was a total knee jerk reaction and kind of douchey when I reread it. I apologize, just have a really big soft spot for the guy. I also cannot exaggerate how much better his solo stuff live is than on record.

I'm willing to bet I'm the only one who saw the entire MMJ set, amirite? I was there for the full thing. Might have been my highlight of the year. What I saw of Deamau5 was amazing visuals and very meh music. Maybe it started or ended stronger though.

I really do not understand the disdain for Bob Mould here. Lead singer of Husker Du and Sugar. Two amazingly influential bands that stand up today. Then again people didn't care about Pavement last year. I guess it's all about what is new and shiny.

Personally I have had a bit better luck with the adds. Looking forward to Bob Mould, Wavves, Comedy Death Ray and J Mascis. Besides Mould they might not be highlights but they are acts I will check out if there are no huge conflicts.
Can understand how people are disappointed about the lack of big time adds.

LAAAAAAME! Thus proves my philosophy that Sasquatch has no reason to book any one else worthy/exciting because they've already sold out. Yeah I was very excited by the Bob Mould add but this is a big meh.

'Seattle Rock Orchestra will perform Radiohead: Songs from OK Computer and The Bends on Saturday, May 28th on the Bigfoot Stage."
I missed these guys last year. Anyone see them?

Bob Mould is AMAZING live. He plays a good ammount of Husker Du and Sugar songs and injects the same material into the live versions of his solo stuff.
Saw him a couple years ago and it may have been the best show I saw that year.
So very very very good. Huge win for Friday.

Regie Watts is on the latest comedy death ray podcast and the host says that they will be doing something at Sasquatch as well but cannot say what yet.
