Joke post, or do you really not realize that this band's career might have changed over the course of two years? You must be a joke poster. Just because I mentioned they were billed nineteenth at Bonnaroo in 2007? Everything else I said applies to the present, and has nothing to do with the show I saw. I'm sure they have grown plenty since then, but I do have a hard time believing their one release since was epic enough to revolutionize their careers. I'm not trying to hate on KOL, I like them. I just don't see them as a headliner, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone else was announced to headline Saturday.

The fact that a lot of people think Kings of Leon shouldn't be a headliner means they shouldn't be a headliner. It is not the quality of a band's show/music that makes a headliner, it's their ability to attract a wide audience. I've been to plenty of festivals where the headliners are far from being the most talented of the lineup. I saw part of KOL's set at Bonnaroo in 2007 (where they were billed nineteenth) they were quite good, but I just don't see how they would be put in a headliner spot at this point.

Viva Voce is AWESOME live. They opened for The Shins a while back at the Crystal and I have been in love ever since. Great CD too!! I saw that show too, they were great! Then the next year they had the Fleet Foxes open...also great! I was disappointed that the Shins didn't play again this past December, it had become a tradition for my girlfriend and I to make the trip down from Seattle.

You absolutely can bring food and water to your campsite. You can also bring alcohol and a barbecue if you'd like. You can bring food and sealed water bottles into the venue.
As far as premier camping, I feel the shuttle is the best aspect. You get to go in early, and avoid the long walk. Otherwise, if you just want to go to sleep when you're at camp, go premier. If you want to party, go general.

It would be awesome to see them after the long hiatus. I saw them in Boston a year ago. Long hiatus? A Decemberists show in the NW is practically a weekly event. They played Sasquatch in '06, and by my count from their website...15 times since then in the Portland/Seattle/Vancouver area. Regardless, I'd still love to see them there again, although The Raconteurs are my most wanted add.

I think they're waiting until after their Seattle show this Saturday to announce. It's not sold out yet, and they probably want to avoid people skipping it because they'll be going to Sasquatch.

true it is the same as last year. No argument there. I think people (myself included) are upset because the 750 seemed like an amazing deal and it was all because of a typo. Exactly. My brothers birthday is that weekend, so as soon as I saw it was $750 a pair I called and told him I'd get VIP for us. We were both excited, just to be let down by a typo. They also changed the price of the single and three day tickets. My favorite part being that the three day pass was $150.50 plus $1 for charity, now its $154.50 with no mention of charity....classy. My biggest issue is that organizers of an event on the level of Sasquatch should be able to have their shit together before they post it online.

Fuck that shit... grrrrrrrr. Seriously! $1500 for a pair? That's quite a bit more than Bonnaroo VIP which in my opinion offers more and is a four day fest vs. three. To those that have gone VIP to Sasquatch in the past, was it this expensive?

The website originally listed the VIP "Supertickets" at $750 a pair, and only sold in pairs. Now it says $750 per person, only sold in pairs. Forget that!

Is it worth it? How is the seating area? Is the food any good? Would like to hear any experiences of those that have gone VIP in the past.

Can you clarify why it is easier to smuggle in your own beer because of Premiere camping? Is security more relaxed for the first bus load of campers? I most likely will be doing Premiere camping and sneaking in my own alcohol, but I like having a game plan in place. I haven't done Premier camping at Sasquatch before, but I did last year for Download festival also at the gorge. We took the shuttle from the campground, and when we went through they didn't even bother to check our bags or anything.
