Each day looks pretty full to me with at least the same number of acts a day as previous years. I'd rather the artist already scheduled get more playing time than to see their sets cut shorter and have more down time to switch setups.

Well you did say "big name acts". More people have heard and bought the albums of those I listed is all I'm saying.
And calling DCFC and MM MTV I think is way off kilter. Both have been big names in the college radio scene for over a decade and have just recently gained commercial notoriety.
edited: I didn't see there was a whole other page saying basically the same. Either way I hope you do find something to make it worthwhile for you, but if what you refer to as indie is not for you I'm not sure Sasquatch is either really.

The difference though is that I had The Spree, Bjork, Arcade Fire, Beastie Boys, and Interpol. This year, REM, The Cure, and The Flaming Lips. I guess I just wish there were more "big name acts." They may not be your thing but Modest Mouse, DCFC, Built to Spill, The Mars Volta, and the Hives all are bigger or atleast as big names as The Spree and Interpol. I think they did a great job of getting some big acts when compared to past years. There's at least 8 bands every day I would or have gone seen individually.

Can someone give me some suggestions for the Mars Volta bc I never got into them! I think you're either totally into them or they're just not for you but there's really no in between. I know lot's of people have problems with the time signatures they use but as a former percussionist I have no prob convulsing along to the beat. *fingers crossed they get confirmed

Not inappropriate at all. That's kinda cool actually. Well I know there are some cause I emailed the official website and they said there was just no idea where it would be located from the aerial photographs.

Any idea where it's located for the main stage? Is it near the vip seating or somewhere completely different?

Yeah, the scale was half joking. Only time i saw a hookah at an event was Bridge School Benefit in 01.
The one time being in a power wheelchair really comes in handy in life is for smuggling stuff. They're so afraid to touch you or the chair that they usually wave you right through, mwhahaha.
Good to know though thanks guys.

I was wondering how marijuana friendly this event is. I assume fairly since to this former Midwest country boy the NW in general seems to be fairly tolerant at least in comparison, but you never know. I usually rank this on a scale of 0-4.
0 - bring more alcohol 1 - bring joints 2 - bring oney 3 - bring bong 4 - bring hookah

- If you do Premiere camping, it is easier to smuggle in your own beer. The one thing I remember them selling are those Mini-kegs of Heineken's, which can be purchased anywhere along the way for 1/4 of what they sell them for at the show. Once you have purchased one, you are free to walk anywhere with it (no Beer gardens), so it is easy to pull one out of your bag and blend in. Can you clarify why it is easier to smuggle in your own beer because of Premiere camping? Is security more relaxed for the first bus load of campers? I most likely will be doing Premiere camping and sneaking in my own alcohol, but I like having a game plan in place.
