What airport? The Gorge is in the middle of Washington, not really anywhere near Seattle (I've never understood why Seattle thinks it belongs to them!). I think it takes around 2 hours from Seattle, not positive though because I only have ever come from either Spokane or Portland.
I'm sure somebody will be able to help you out though...

I like the lineup besides no real big headliners.
I would love to see Broken Bells, Phoenix, or Hot Chip get added. I was pretty disappointed none of these three made the list.
If we got lucky and got another headliner (which I don't think will happen) I'm hoping for Arcade Fire or Flaming Lips.
I really like the fact that it seems like this year is going to have a way chiller feel to it!

I'm dissapointed with the lack of heavy hitters for headliners, but overall I think it's a great lineup.
I think this year will have a much better chill feel to it which is real cool!

Rise Against just added another festival date stateside, this time Rock on the Range in Ohio. They're doing Bonnarroo as well, but a bunch of European festivals, with that in the middle, so at least three plane flights hauling all their gear around (from the states to Denmark, then from Germany to Tennessee, then Tennessee to Sweden) - given that they're doing a load of festivals, that right now they have about a 9 day gap in their schedule, and they haven't played the area since July..I guess it's possible, certainly more likely than before. Apparently they're also doing Vive Latino in April, so another festival. If they don't do Sasquatch I really think Bumbershoot might be their destination over here. If they did play, do yall see them headlining? NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHAHAHA No way will they be there, they are so far away from the Sasquatch! vibe. Not a chance. At least I hope not. I put them right in there with Jack Johnson, Ben Harper (at least these days) and in my opinion Beastie Boys, who just don't fit the vibe at Sasquatch! and shouldn't be aloud anywhere near the Gorge during Memorial Day weekend... Soooo close now! I cant wait til Monday night!!!!!

i've heard lots of suggestions regarding the beastie boys, but I pointed out in the older topic that sasquatch has never re-used a headliner in its history. It doesn't mean they won't do it, but it's a factor worth considering... Actually they have reused Ben Harper and NIN at least... I would count Flaming lips too even though the were technically a sub headliner once...

I'm just posting this warning for people who haven't already bought Premier camping tickets. DON'T DO IT!! PREMIER CAMPING WAS A MASSIVE RIPOFF IN 2009!!You pay $170 (almost double the $99 for general camping at the Gorge and the $90 you can pay for far superior camping at Wildhorse). For this we got pooper to pooper camping directly next to the general camping, filthy toilettes and showers, virtually no noise difference from general camping and a shuttle bus that was supposed to get us in early but arrived 2 hours late on the first day. It was a shameful ripoff. Agreed. Besides taking the shuttle and getting to bypass the extremely long line waiting to get in, it really isn't worth it. I will go with premium again just to not have to wait in line at the gate though, makes it a lot easier to get the rock face...

You left way too many places off that list. What about Spokane and Portland areas. Don't forget, the Gorge is between Spokane and Seattle...

as for tips to get "other stuff" in to the festival grounds. have a female friend put it in her bra. 100% effective. every time! For "other stuff," I just stick it in my pockets. Never once had anyone ask to empty my pockets...

Why the hell would Sasquatch be 18+? So they don't have to ID the smokers. Seriously, the ID situation last year was unbelievable. I felt I was being given the old "ocular patdown" every time one of the beverage enforcers would walk by. Seriously!? I have smoked so much weed in that place right out in the open and nobody has ever said a word to me! I can't believe they would even pay attention to someone smoking a cigarette...

I have to cross the border to get there unfortunately so I don't wanna risk bringing my weed and getting caught. I hate to be "that guy" but I was just wondering what the chances are that people will be willing to sell me some??? I heard its in abundance... I would recommend sorting that out with someone before you get there. If you find any for sale it will be expensive...

Ok, first timer here. Have a few questions. 1st. Reentry. I know it's been covered somewhat in this thread, but I'm a little confused still. Is that reentry via vehicles or at the venue itself? I'm used to Bonnaroo/Rothbury camping, so it's quite different. 2nd. I've gathered this is not the standard park-by-your-car festival type camping, so how far is the walk to the campgrounds from the parking lots? 3rd. Would a shade canopy be necessary for the campgrounds? I can't imagine there being much shade. 4th. I'm very curious about the Wildhorse campground. It seems like a good deal, but I'm concerned about the availability of party favors in the campground. Is this even an issue? I'll probably have lots more questions, as I am completely new to this festival. Edit: One more thing... what about wristbands? Are they the fabric type that they've been using for festivals in 08? You drive into the campground and camp right behind or next to your car. I would say forget wildhorse if your concerned about the party, you will want the full gorge experience for your first time...

You are not searched at all while entering the campground. Safe to bring whatever you want...

Hopefully RV rental with 5 other people. After adding it up it really doesn't come out terribly much more than camping with 2 people to a car with 3 cars.

Really they are more concerned about drugs and alcohol that a camera anyway. I think that they are mainly concerned about alcohol (they wanna make there money on outrageously priced stuff) weapons, and professional cameras. I don't really think they care about drugs really unless you make it obvious going through security. Even if they find some weed I would say you have a 50/50 chance of them just letting you through with it, depending on the security guard.
