Salt N Pepa might be the best thing I've ever heard. Everyone had them down when we were guessing right? This year is going to be one for the books.

Thanks for doing all this information! I can say you get this room buzzing like no one else.
Any chance Sylvan Esso, Manatee Commune, or Deep Sea Diver will be there?

While the Bjork dj set is plausible I still believe that it will be a live set. If they are really trying to sell tickets a headliner of Frank Ocean|Bjork (live)|Arcade Fire is the route they would go. Subbing out Bjork (not sure they do that even with DJ set) and inserting Macklemore or Weezer would do just the opposite for the ticket sales idea. Not saying they aren't fun to see just can't imagine that's the route they would plan if they were going "all out".
Also looks like we drank the LCD kool-aid again this year. Even though I'm a little bummed we may not see them I have never been to Sasquatch and not had the time of my life. With only just a portion of the lineup released (unofficially) it looks like this year will be no different. This might be the longest 4 months of waiting as I could barely sleep last night from the excitement.

I know we won't know until after the lineup drops, but how are people feeling about what it means that there is not lineup announcement party? I know its been discussed, but because we are so close and have such little idea of what the lineup looks like, I am feeling like it's either really good or really bad that there is no party. I feel that it is a good thing. No longer having a launch party plus reducing the festival by one day cuts down their costs freeing up money to build a solid lineup. At least that is my interpretation.

I've always been a district 9 guy, but last year I went premier. I think this year, I'm going all in and going gold. I like the idea of camp being right outside the gates since I'm old and I need naps and it should eliminate the need to get a locker. I already bought my passes, so I'm just going to use the money that would have gone to ticket to buy a camping upgrade instead. I have been going gold last three years and can't recommend it enough. The easy access, quieter nights when trying to sleep, more space plus the ability to get back and forth from campground to concerts is incredible. Can't say enough good things about it. Realize it's a bit pricey but if you can split it with a few friends (even if it's just you) I promise you it's worth every penny.

Marshmello is the Kevin Hart of 2017 festival lineups. He's literally in everything.

Sorry if posted already, but Boston Calling lineup is out, same weekend. Tool, Chance, Mumford, Sigur Ros, Bon Iver, The XX, Major Lazer, Run the Jewels...: www.bostoncalling.com/lineup.html Thanks for posting this. Seems like there was a handful of crossovers last year between Squatch and Boston Calling so perhaps this lineup release only increases speculation of certain bands playing? There was a lot on there that we have been speculating for Squatch.

Anderson.Paak will be on tour with Bruno Mars and he just announced dates. He has a hole between 5.26 in Berlin and 6.01 in Frankfurt, though it's extremely doubtful that he would leave Europe just to play Sasquatch and head right back. I'd say he's likely out. Was looking at his schedule today too. Bummer as I was hoping he would be part of the lineup as I think he would be a great act to watch. Who knows perhaps we get lucky but I agree with you and won't be holding my breath anytime soon.

Chance is headlining Gov. Ball, so absolutely. I'm just not entirely sure Sasquatch would give two of their headlining spots to Frank and Chance. Although R&B and hip-hop dominated the charts in 2016, so maybe they would try that type of route after all. I didn't think Chance was happening either until I saw the top line of the Government Ball poster. Now, who knows? LCD Soundsystem / Frank Ocean / Chance the Rapper doesn't sound too far fetched and God knows it would sell some tickets. My main concern now isn't so much if they would, but if they could. Given how high those guys are all booked at other festivals, they wouldn't be cheap, but they don't seem impossible either. And, as I've said before, Sasquatch can't afford to go cheap on this year's lineup. The only downside I could see to that top row would be the lack of serious rock guitars. But, if you look back at the rock headliners the last few years (The Cure, Sleater-kinney, QOTSA), they have been among the least attended sets of the weekends. You are right in the fact of not having a headlining guitar act would seem uncharacteristic for Squatch. If they are aiming for ticket sales this year I can see them defer off this route and go in another genres direction. Flume, Chance, etc seem all logical as they are very popular and in high demand. If they were to bill a guitar act what groups remaining would they look to?

For real, though, we haven't discussed Phoenix much in this thread. I consider them a mid-tier rock act, despite their previous Coachella headlining gig. They've never played Sasquatch before, and "1901" and "Lisztomania" are still alt-rock radio staples. I completely agree with this. Phoenix is on the festival circuit and are sub-headliners for other festivals which would put them in prime position for that third headliner spot at Squatch. That and it gives a mixture of genres for all three headliners. I can see this being realistic.

I agree with you that they typically spread out the genres of headliners but if selling tickets and making (recouping) money is their name of the game, this could be an option. I certainly wouldn't complain but agree that this does not feel very Sasquatch-esque.

Let's just say for fun that Sasquatch landed Frank Ocean and LCD Soundsystem as two of the three. Doesn't seem too farfetched. What do we think a reasonable third headlining slot would look like? Would they throw a bone to the EDM kids with another Disclosure-sized electronic artist, or promote a mid-tier rock act to headliner? I'm not entirely sure if Frank Ocean and LCD Soundsystem alone are big enough to help Sasquatch "recover" from last year, so to speak, but I can't imagine either are cheap bookings. Would Chance the Rapper be considered headlining material? Feel like the odds of him playing Squatch are pretty good and would still pull a draw with the younger crowd rather than the EDM route

That would be one hell of a lineup. Don't mean to be the bearer of bad news but I think Arcade is playing Primavera Sound Festival in Spain May 31-June 4th. Perhaps they could play opening night at Squatch and fly out but that might be a bit of a stretch. So is Frank Ocean. It's still not going to happen, though. Interesting. Thanks for the tip as I have no idea how I missed that.

I'm getting way too optimistic for LCD again and I'm so scared of being disappointed I feel the same way. I really pumped myself up for it last year so I try to stay grounded about it but it just seems like the dots are connecting for it. So much for staying grounded....

Cowabunga dudes, so how are they announcing the lineup after the opening ticket sale date? Ummm wat. They must be packing dynamite if they have the balls to do that. Here's another glimpse in the gold mine : That's a stacked lineup right there. Don't Sasquatch and Shaky Knees have a good chunk of overlap usually? Starting to get more excited about the possibilities of LCD actually playing Squatch. Just seems like the stars are aligning for it albeit still just speculation. This is a solid lineup. Hopefully there are plenty of crossover. Sylvan Esso caught my eye as this is the 1st festival I have seen them playing. Hopefully they make it up to Squatch.

Has there been any history of crossovers with Squatch and Panorama before? This is only Panorama's second year. Last year saw several crossovers, including Alabama Shakes, Major Lazer, Sufjan Stevens, A$AP Rocky, and Kurt Vile. Thanks for the info. There is some decent artist on Panorama so hopefully we can see the same volume of crossovers.

Here's an interesting lineup, would love some of these acts. Not a bad lineup at all. Has there been any history of crossovers with Squatch and Panorama before? ATCQ would be awesome (RIP Phife). MO would be a great get even though she played two years ago. Glass Animals seem to be on almost every festival lineup which would lend me to believe they will be at Squatch (just speculating).
