With the news that Caribou has a new album and IS NOT touring in the Pacific Northwest, I think I HAVE to go to FYF now. Which means I have to sell my Pemberton ticket :-(. Double Snaith just can't be missed. I am le sad to miss out on this Canadian adventure. Pemby should book. Open tour dates, no?

Mac DeMarco, Justice, BANKS, Bryan Adams, Brandi Carlile all seem pretty locked in because of the website. Unless they're just fucking with us. If you put in your address bar: pembertonmusicfestival.com/lineup/arctic-monkeys (Arctic Monkeys aren't playing) there is a full list of the lineup. And there's also a link to a Waterslide waiver form. Stoked to rip up a waterslideeeee between sets..!!! Ive been listening to a shit load of Modest Mouse and just downloaded some Rich Aucoin. Where should I start with The Flaming Lips?

Im hoping for some more indie/alt acts added to this lineup. From their twitter/facebook feeds, it looks like they are looking for some more bands and are taking in feedback from the fans... but who the fuck knows with this festival.

Didn't get a good chance to watch many sets this weekend on the livestream. Theres lots of full videos on youtube now though, who should I check out? Beck as soon as possible. Yeah - I saw the very end of his set. Arcade Fire is pretty fucking awesome right now.

Don't worry dude, we have corn chips in Canada too. Of course, the flavours are a bit different... I appreciate the quality too.

MountainFM is giving away tickets anytime now, if you're just sitting on your ass at work or home. When you hear Blondie - Heart of Glass, be the 20th caller. If you can, refrain from listening anymore than you have to because they play shitty music.
The number is 1-800-668-1550. You have to be Canadian, eh.

Just heard on the radio that there is still a LOT more artists and amenities to be announced. So that's cool.

I wanna go, like real bad. But I am sketched out by the poor organization. Just how bad is the camping situation/parking/traffic situation? Can anyone who has been before give us the details? Is it worth it to camp onsite? Do you really leave your car somewhere else and shuttle to a campground? HALP! Ive checked out the website and have a pretty good understanding of what's going on. Apparently the traffic situation will be improved because of the construction for the Vancouver 2010 olympics, but I am honestly not too sure about that. Camping onsite is: you park your vehicle and either walk or get shuttled to your campsite with your gear. Apparently the quantity of alcohol you are bringing will also be limited, but it does not have any specifics. Alcohol is allowed in the campgrounds. The options are either to camp as I have said, or buy a shuttle pass and stay somewhere in Whistler. Personally, I have a fairly big group and we are going to go for the RV camping option. Also, theres a thread specifically about this festival that's up and running now.
