Typically trolls say stuff like, "I know I shouldn't post this off-topic question in this thread, but I'm going to anyway." Proboards tip for the day. i'm hoping this is not in reference to my shins question. i would consider an inquiry about the quality of a confirmed band in the rumors/confirmations thread to be fairly on-topic. especially compared to the explosion of vitriol that's occurred over the past few days. :-)

while on the subject of stages and their ridiculousness, are we assuming that the maine stage will be that glorified shack nested into the hill between the dance tent and the bigfoot stage? because i could see that being very irritating when trying to watch anything at either of those stages.

The Yeti is the biggest joke of a stage I've ever seen at any festival. it's about as pathetic as it gets. i can't believe they had foster the people play it last year. glad i stayed away from that clusterfuck.

this may not be the appropriate thread for this, but can anyone attest to the quality of The Shins' live performance? i heard from multiple people who i usually agree with that their stage presence and crowd interaction are about as exciting as going to the dmv. thoughts? I just saw the Shins back in October. It was alright, but it certainly did not live up to my expectations. As for their stage presence, I don't remember them being very engaging. this is pretty close to the description i got. it was also mentioned that they all took themselves far too seriously (farting and then purposely smelling it i assume). hopefully they'll loosen up and bring the pain this time around, especially if they're headlining.
