I like Calvin a lot better in this band than in Beat Happening, further proof Doug's an alchemist.

And fuckin' Slint. (Though I'm a little leery after reading of the 2007-ish reunion shows being so-so. I don't want Spiderland every ruined for me ever.)

Bjorkoverbooked herself this year will festival appearances in addition to her massive installations, which led to complications with a vocal cord nodule. We don't need to ask Zacks for this one, but fingers crossed regardless that she's feeling better in time for 'Squatch because we know how badly she wants to throw random garbage into the Gorge again. 3D PrimusBecause it's Primus and it's 3 dimensional and we don't even know what that really means yet. Kraftwerkhave been known to make the most random and sparse US festival appearances. Booking them as a headliner would be the most exciting thing Zacks could do for me since introducing the impressive burritos this year, although I would accept them as a sub-headliner to Deadmau5 as their current level of pupularity would appropriate, even though that's really fucking sad. Animal CollectiveThe more I think about it, the more I think how perfect Animal Collective would be as a Monday headliner, i.e. the haters can go home and the lovers can party without all the chatter. Four Tet/DaphniThis is the quintessential DJ set(s) that we need shacking our bananas next year. They created the two best bootie-shakin' albums of 2012 individually and have recently been spending a lot of time together playing consecutive DJ sets. Four Tet is long overdue in the shack, and Daphni is his perfect counterpart. Death Gripswill be jocking everybody's nuts in 2013. Sasquatch will undoubtedly get a piece. Battlesput on the best daytime festival set I've ever seen. At Bonnaroo they said they have been taking it easy in 2012, but to expect them back around in 2013. Built to SpillIt's been 5 fucking years. Thee Oh Seeshave rocked the shit out of every festival in the world except Sasquatch with their renowned live show. BOOK THAT SHIT ALREADY Tim Hecker and/or Daniel LopatinTheir new album together is good, although I still think these guys work better in their own heads. Either way, a collaborative set or a Tim Hecker set or a Oneohtrix Point Never set would melt some face. DeerhoofKick-ass live shows like every day. New albums like every other day. Didn't get the spot they deserved in 2009. Redemption. Nice NiceThe only reason I can think of for Nice Nice not playing Sasquatch yet is that Zacks hasn't heard of them. Theyre from Portland, play quality Sasquatch-esque music, and would probably do it for $50 and 2 train tickets. Their 2010 album Extra Wow is phenomenal, as is their live show. Check 'em out. Akron/FamilyThere is no good reason for the AkAk boys never having played our beloved Sas. They released another excellent album last year that hasn't had much touring behind it yet, and their epic sets are perfect for festivals. What Burrito said.

My first concert was Modest Mouse and Man Man in Philly (Man Man's hometown). Was a god damn blast. As much as I love Modest Mouse, Man Man stole that fucking show. Right? I think we've been over this before.

Just wanted to stop in to say, hi, I miss you, and sorry Jeff Mangum is coming to Charleston but nowhere near the PNW (you gotta admit you guys get so many better shows than I do so you can't whine too much). Miss y'all. Been super busy. I left my house at 5:45 this morning and probably won't be back at my house until 2AM tonight. I'm supposed to be working right now, this is how busy I am. I love you all, and lawd knows come Thanksgiving I will have nothing to do and be all up in this message board.

Thee Oh Sees on the other hand, WERE FUCKING AMAZING! I had never seen them before, and I enjoyed the shit out of their show. They have such a great vibe about them, played professionally, and their sound was superior. The crowd was bonkers as well. I? haven't seen a crowd lose their collective shit and cause such a ruckus since I last saw the Monotonix. People were dancing, jumping around and moshing like it was Slayer on stage. It was just nuts and I can't wait to see them again. Sasquatch needs Thee Oh Sees so motherfucking badly. This makes me happy you got to experience this, blacksmile, and Thee Oh Sees is my prediction for Sasquatch '13, a lot because I just want them to be there. I couldn't definitely see Ty Segall being there too.

If you have to do one of the things I mentioned (excluding Deerhoof whom you already said you are going to see), make it Eugene Mirman. I love the other 4 comedians I mentioned, but very few comedians do I laugh as hard at as Eugene.

For someone who typically keeps his replies short and sweet, I do enjoy Lumpy paragraphs. Props for being a good writer. Aww shucks, coming from the Sasquatch board's version of Statler and Waldorf, that means a lot.
