I'm in for sure. Pretty stoked to see who else they add, the lineup is so solid already ... I'm hoping on Run the Jewels, just to round out the rap duo possibilities (Kendrick/Q, EarlWolf, Outkast)
Goddamn though. Nice to see at least one of the B.C festivals bring it. This is what Sqamish could've/should've been.

Hahahahha glad someone noticed that...I'm not complaining.
Yeah I'm gonna unload my Squamish ticket right quick. This is a very solid lineup, to me. Good mix of rock/rap/electronic, new and older artists, Canadians and else wise.
Worth mentioning that although this is some satisfying appeasement, it doesn't negate the questionable logistics of the festival. This could still be a huge shit show.

Fuck me. Remember how I said it'd be disappointing no matter what? That didn't happen.

I feel like at this point there's no way the lineup won't disappoint. They're like the festival equivalent of a deadbeat. "Give us a month...just one more month...ten days, i swear...just gimme til the end of the day, i'm good for it..."

I recognize them only from their appearance on one of the consistently-awful NHL soundtracks.
I'VE BEEN WAITIN' BY THE SEASIIIIIDE.....FOR MY SHIP TO COME IIIAHHHHEHEHHEHIIIINNNNNN.

Are you guys kidding? Tom Cochrane WITH Red Rider??! That's just too much to handle.
Jk. I'm still wrapping my head around the idea of a band calling themselves Monster Truck and achieving any sort of success. That lineup's weird in that its target demographic seems to be tweens and fifty-somethings.
Any word about that Pemberton sneak peek? If such a thing truly exists...

Yeah, a ripe time for a good ol' update. Not really any massive changes for me...
1. Outkast 2. The National 3. Queens of the Stone Age 4. Deafheaven 5. Panda Bear (no conflict with #4 please) 6. Shakey Graves 7. Liars 8. Mogwai 9. Sandrider 10. Chance the Rapper
also: chune-yards, Hannibal Buress, the Stepkids, Major Lazer, Parquet Courts

I just realized that the addition of Sol on Bigfoot Saturday puts an end to the hypothetical Panda Bear vs Deafheaven conflict

Preeeeetty fuckin' crazy. I offer my sincere condolences to those affected by the tragedy... really though, that's a lot of planning, excitement and money down the drain. Sales must have been incredibly low for them to to nuke it all to dust.
So are we taking the addition of a Fourth Day to Maysquatch Sasquatch is a given? The high price for three days seemed somewhat reasonable with two weekends, but now it's just a very expensive festival - not that any of them are particularly cheap...
If it does indeed happen, do you think they'd try to piece it together with refugees from the July shipwreck or start from scratch? Mix of both?

I really doubt Pemberton will be cancelled. Ignoring the fact they already sold a bunch of presale tickets, there was a news story the other week about them hiring horse-owning locals for security (which is...yeah.) It's just crazy to me they'd be unable to fill a couple days - I mean, aren't the Tragically Hip perpetually on hand to fill out any Canadian festivals?
The stronger likelihood in my eyes is just a rather underwhelming lineup. Which would be hilarious, if both B.C. festivals shit the bed, but also sad. Squam does look pretty awful broken into three days...ahhhhh what might've been.
edit: Jeffed me to it!

Hell yeah. I'm more than happy to eat my words on this one. Actually kind of surprised they haven't announced any more acts yet but I guess there's a long ways to go.

I was gonna say...almost as much as MIA>>The National. I guess you gotta work with what you got but that's a definite shift in vibe.

It's a poor consolation, but one benefit of missing out on Julysquatch is that I won't have to deal with the heart wrenching clusterfuck of conflicts that Friday looks to be.
