The new songs definitely sound Bowie-esque. They said their sound was going to be more Kinks and Low era Bowie. They sure weren't lying.
miked- I found it on hypemachine yesterday. I can't find it today.

The only problem is those rat bastards from Primavera pouched them already, which doesn't make them out, but puts a kink in the idea.

Where would they play tho?!?!?!? The dance tent is really small and I'd want to see them at night. They could close the wookie on Sunday instead of Nada Surf. That would be bomb! CC>MA or SMD whatever floats your fancy. MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Person Pitch is one of my favorite albums of all time, however, Panda Bear is really boring live.

funny that you say fleet foxes, because local natives are a lot like them and pfork loooooooved their record but then shit on edward sharpe. they "loved" the new flaming lips record too which i feel is more similar to edward sharpe. not that it was better than the flips, but it deserved better than a 4.1. i can't wait for their ranting on the new gorillaz album.

Ezra probably won't show up because VW and the Very Best will be playing around the same time. I had the same wish when I saw they were both playing.

Jaguar Love added to Monday. So far the adds have been pretty weak but that is good in the long run for the amount of conflicts this year.

So I'm still hoping for Cut Copy, The Dead Weather, The Besnard Lakes and Black Mountain. Now those would be great, but unlikely

Who? Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros Where? Monolith Festival, Red Rocks When? September 2009 To say this performance was life changing would be pretty dramatic, but it changed my life. They had a measly set time of 30 minutes at Red Rocks, and were allowed to go over because there was such a large crowd their just to see them. They are an amazing group of bohemians that number at around 11-13 people on stage and are simply stunning in energy and musicality. I loved their album, which pitchfork panned, but found its music surprisingly simple and heartfelt. When hearing them live, it was hard not to just smile and feel the emotions of the music. The last time I felt this way was seeing Arcade Fire, but with a completely happy feeling. They are surely a band you can not miss! Who? Band of Horses Where? Knitting Factory, Spokane When? October 2009 These guys know how to rawk and roll. They have sweet harmonies and play all their greats. I have to say Funeral is just an amazing song both on record and live. Also, their new songs were just as amazing as the old, which is always a plus. Who? Neon Indian & Cymbals Eat Guitars Where? Monolith Festival, Red Rocks When? September 2009 Neon Indian was pretty damn amazing for practically his first performance. It is much better than on record. Cymbals Eat Guitars were pretty fantastic and reminded me of The White Stripes for some reason when I saw them. There album didn't lean toward that kind of raw sound, but the lead singers guitar playing is awesome and hard hitting. Both well worth seeing. Who? Local Natives Where? Bell Tower, Pullman, WA When? November 2009 Great harmonies and album. Really nice dudes and are close to the level of Edward Sharpe. Who? Passion Pit Where? Monolith Festival, Red Rocks When? September 2009 Saw them at Sasquatch too. It wasn't very good at so I thought I'd give them a second chance at Monolith. The band as a whole and the music was amazing, but the lead singer BLOWS sooooo much that it is extremely hard to listen to. Its a catch 22.

By the way did anyone notice that the band dates are up on the Sasquatch website? Pavement and Massive Attack both play Sunday. Ween does not seem like a headliner. Even for Monday... could be another artist will be pushing their way in? The overall depth on Monday is fantastic though. I hope the Temper Trap doesn't conflict with anyone I really want to see. I highly doubt there will be another headliner announced. Ween is it.
