I was born in the Bay Area, but haven't been to visit since '03. I figure it would be a fun place to make a pit stop. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Six Flags Vallejo is on the way.

I was about to say the b-word and realized it would've been ed to something a little different... Airfare/lodging for Lolla was adding up quickly so instead I'm planning a road trip with a small group of people that might intersect with this fest and the lineup is looking pretty decent. Does anyone know if they usually sell out/ logistics of parking, etc? The fest website is pretty bare and not so helpful.

I used to avoid nail polish because of the chipping, but really it comes down to getting what you pay for. Essie and OPI are great brands (most salons use OPI) that rarely chip on me, but they are going to be a little on the pricey side. Also, I've grown to realize that a top coat really does make all the difference. I use Seche Vite's fast dry top coat, which is great, but like I said you get what you pay for.

b) in the case of my 2c-b trip; i would be laughing hysterically enjoying myself and then I would suddenly stop, and have to make sure all my buddies were feeling the same way because I thought they were just fucking with me and laughing at me haha. God, I can totally relate to this. Worst feeling in the world.

My friend had a backpack last year and we loaded it with a monster stack of Pavement albums we bought. I'm not too sure if I'll buy any merch this year, since I'll be hitting up stores in Seattle and San Fran. That is a great point, I didn't even think about merch. Undoubtedly I'll end up with some kind of swag. I also didn't realize they sold LPs at festivals.

1- I applied at AE once and had a really awful experience in a group interview. Retail isn't my thing so I wouldn't have been happy with it even if I'd gotten called back. 2- That bag is way cute.

Hmm. I might rock my Timbuk2. Durable, but I'm not sure if it will be big enough...

Oh, and since this is the girly thread, I might as well share about a recent purchase. Lately I've been hearing a LOT about Katy Perry's OPI shatter nail polish, so I figured I'd give it a shot. So far I've only used it once, over a light purple creme polish, but I think it will look even better over neon. Stock image:

Chaco--I fell into H&M's trap last weekend and splurged on a few high waisted skirts and cute everyday tops. Grand total? $25! I love cheap clothes WIN. As for the jeans, Cat, did you just carry them around all day? Do you guys usually bring in backpacks, or large handbags and just deal with them all day? If I'm going to be up front for a set, I don't want to have to deal with a huge bag. However, not bringing anything inside would be pretty unrealistic.

Alright everyone, this is one of the loves of my life, Annie, in her real-life form (as opposed to porcelain form in the borders revealed thread). She's technically my roommate's dog, but for the sake of this thread I'm going to claim her as my own. My parents have a basenji, Tigger, that I grew up with, but I don't have any photos of him handy, so some quick googling led me to post this picture of a look-alike.
