It doesn't take a political mastermind to avoid pissing people off

I don't know how you could think such a post was lame... Heh, thank you! I just know how annoying it can be for an online community to get flooded with n00bz due to the popularization of a big event - I was a Pink Floyd Online junkie and during Live 8 shit really hit the fan...

My name's Brittney, and I'm a 20 year old college student from Ohio. I do my homework, eat my veggies, and go to bed on time. That was not always the case, and I didn't always rock a 4.0... I used to rock some other things. I used to really get down. I got down so much and so hard that once upon a time, I dropped out of high school to pursue the festie life. Being from the midwest I've been to a lot of festivals, but I gave up on them when it became apparent that it was becoming more about the drug culture than the music. Seeing a tent sectioned off with caution tape, tent door flapping open in the wind to reveal some overdose casualty, was a little more than I was prepared to see at a small festival when I was 16... I'm all for experimentation, but if you've ever been to a festival in the midwest you'll know just what I mean about it being overrun by hustlers.
After I missed Faith No More at Coachella last year I never thought there'd ever be another festival worth my time. Anyway, my friends and family are still big on festival life... so when my brother said "look up the Sasquatch Music Festival, you're going to FREAK OUT" I knew it had to be Modest Mouse. But when I saw the lineup, it was so much more... and as if that weren't enough, it was to be held in one of the most special corners of the world (me and my best friend backpacked to and along the west coast as soon as I turned 18, probably the single most influential factor in me going home and getting my shit together!)
Anyway, while I was emailing my professors and arranging to take my exams/finish spring quarter a week early, some lucky people were buying up the last of the 4-day passes fair and square. I was so smitten with Sasquatch already that I had "liked" it on Facebook. Then I saw the status update. Sold out?! Alternatives such as craigslist and eBay confirmed what I already knew; there was no way in hell I could afford to buy tickets from scalpers...
At risk of offending some of the resident board members, I'm just going to go through with this potentially lame first post and see what happens. I'm not getting my hopes up or anything, but it couldn't hurt to put myself out there... too much :'-P
